‘Revenge’ Star Emily VanCamp in Talks for Female Lead in ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’

There were a bunch of names released late last year in the running for the female lead in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and it looks like those behind the scenes have narrowed it down to one name: TV’s Emily VanCamp.

VanCamp stars in ABC’s ‘Revenge’ and has now reportedly won out over names like Emilia Clarke, Jessica Brown-Findlay, Alison Brie, Teresa Palmer, Imogen Poots and Mary Elizabeth Winstead. She has also starred in ‘Everwood,’ and ‘Brothers and Sisters.’

She joins Chris Evans on the film, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, which is due in theaters on April 4th 2014.
