Jennifer Lawrence To Reunite With Russell & Cooper
Silver Linings Playbook‘s Jennifer Lawrence will reunite with director David O. Russell and co-star Bradley Cooper. Lawrence has booked the role of Christian Bale’s (The Dark Knight Rises) on screen wife in the formerly titled film American Bullshit, Deadline has shared.
Russell’s latest venture follows a group of United States congressmen who were exposed in the 1970’s FBI sting operation coined Abscam. Lawrence joins her former Linings cohorts along with The Master‘s Amy Adams and Bourne’s Jeremy Renner. The upcoming film was penned by both Russell and Eric Singer. Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven and Richard Suckle will executive produce the thriller through Sony Pictures.
Lawrence is currently up for the best actress category at this year’s Oscars for her role opposite Bradley Cooper as the eccentric and outspoken widow Tiffany Maxwell. The actress has been nominated alongside Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty), Naomi Watts (The Impossible), Emannuelle Riva (Amour) and Quvenzhane Wallis (Southern Beasts of the Wild).
Lawrence will show up next in the second installment of ‘The Hunger Games’ entitled ‘Catching Fire’. She is also attached to appear in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ and ‘Serena’ in the title role. Russell’s untitled project is slated to be released sometime in 2014.
