Halle Berry Returns To ‘X-Men’, Cast In ‘Days of Future Past’
Director Bryan Singer has confirmed Halle Berry’s return to the X-Men installment Days of Future Past. Singer shared the news on twitter that the famed Bond girl will reprise her role as Storm, a goddess of weather. “Couldn’t be more excited that #HalleBerry has joined the cast of #XMen #DaysofFuturePast,” he said.
As shared by Entertainment Weekly, Berry will reunite with former cast mates and some new faces. This latest installment will feature a mixed ensemble that includes Patrick Stewart (Star Trek), Ian McKellan (Harry Potter), Jennifer Lawrence (Silver Linings Playbook), Hugh Jackman (Les Miserable), Ellen Page (Juno), James McAvoy (Wanted), Shawn Ashmore (Froze), Anna Paquin (True Blood), Peter Dinklage (Elf), and Omar Sy (Intouchables). The movie’s plot sees the ‘X-Men’ on a time travel mission to change a major historical event to save both mankind and mutant kind. The script was written by Simon Kinberg and Matthew Vaughn.
‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ is scheduled to arrive in theaters sometime in 2014. Berry, who last appeared in 2006’s ‘X-Men: The Last Stand’ is currently appearing in the thriller ‘The Call’. The actress has also appeared in ‘Movie 43’, ‘Cloud Atlas’, ‘Dark Tide’, ‘new Year’s Eve’, ‘Perfect Stranger’, ‘Robots’ and ‘Die Another Day’.
