Harrison Ford Signs Up For ‘Anchorman 2’
Long time actor Harris Ford has signed on to appear in Paramount’s Anchorman 2, The Hollywood Reporter has shared. Ford is set to take on the role of a news caster in the comedy that will be directed by Adam Mckay.
Ford joins the already cast line-up of actors Will Ferrell (Elf), Steve Carell (Crazy Stupid Love), Paul Rudd (Wanderlust), Christina Applegate (Up All Night), David Koechner (Waiting) and Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids), who is new to Anchorman.
‘Anchorman 2’, formerly known as ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’, is the follow up to the 2004 feature, ‘The Legend of Ron Burgundy’. Will Ferrell wrote the screenplay for the December 20, 2013 release with the help of Adam McKay. This Is 40’s Judd Apatow and Kevin Messick will produce the top secret installment.
Aside from his Anchorman role, Ford will also show up in the film ‘42’ from director Brian Helgeland, ‘Paranoia’, ‘Ender’s Game’ as the character Colonel Hyrum Graff, ‘You Belong to Me’, ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ as Han Solo and ‘Indiana Jones 5’. Filming on ‘Anchorman: The Legend Continues’ has already begun in Atlanta, Georgia with footage of Ford on the set released. The 70-year-old was wearing a suit and had looked to have dyed his hair for the part.
