A Match Made in Heaven for Shakespeare and Whedon in First Trailer for ‘Much Ado About Nothing’
The day Joss Whedon’s secret project Much Ado About Nothing was announced, pre-‘Avengers’, the news was greeted with a mixture of shrugs of frantic excitement. For those who experienced the latter, the faces speaking Shakespeare’s words in this first trailer for ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ will all look very familiar and, for those who didn’t, ‘Avengers’ mania last summer might have changed your shrug into an almighty fist-pump.
Yes, Joss Whedon has taken his living-room Shakespeare readings and filmed them for the big screen. The finished project, starring Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof, Nathan Fillion, Fran Kranz, Jillian Morgese, Sean Maher, Clark Gregg, Tom Lenk and Reed Diamond, will hit cinemas on June 7th with a limited release.
