New Poster and Trailer for Neill Blomkamp’s ‘Elysium’ with Matt Damon
Ever since ‘District 9’ blasted onto our screens, Neill Blomkamp has been a name to watch for sci-fi fans, and now we get to see our first glimpse at new movie Elysium. Things have been on lock-down until now, so this trailer and poster are an event in themselves. The film stars Matt Damon as an ex-con wanting to go straight in a future, ruined, world. When he is diagnosed with cancer, however, he must do whatever it takes to get up to the plush ship, Elysium, where only the rich and powerful 1% reside.
Starring Damon, Jodie Foster, Sharlto Copley, Alice Braga, Diego Luna, William Fichtner and Wagner Moura, the film hits theaters on August 9th and you can watch the trailer below.
