Brad Pitt and ‘End of Watch’ Director David Ayer to Unite for ‘Fury’ (With Release Date)
In yesterday’s press release, we found out David Ayer and Brad Pitt will be teaming up for a WWII drama. Columbia Pictures acquired the rights to Fury and have tentatively set the release date for November 14, 2014.
Ayer has more credits as a writer than a director and most of his works involve the L.A.P.D. He gained notoriety for his Training Day script. In 2005, he made the jump to the directing chair and made Harsh Times. More recently, he wrote and directed the well-received End of Watch.
In Fury, Ayer will direct Brad Pitt, who will be playing an army sergeant leading his outmanned Allie crew against the Axis forces. Principal photography still hasn’t started, but it’s nice to know the plans are in the work.
