Kelsey Grammer Pegged as Villain in ‘Transformers 4’
Transformers 4 is starting to shape up. With Michael Bay’s Pain & Gain released last weekend, Bay can officially shift his focus back to robots and explosions (making fun of his tendency to blow things up is just too fun).
The film is set to take place four years after Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Shia LaBeouf will not return, though, and Mark Wahlberg will take his place. Others have been cast, with the most notable being Stanley Tucci. Add Frasier’s Kelsey Grammer to that list.
Grammer’s iconic role was obviously in Frasier, but he’s racked up compliments for his turn in Starz’s Boss (though it ultimately got cancelled). In Transformers 4, he will be apparently playing a villainous role. You have to think a robot villain will be in the mix, too.
Bay’s film will be in 3D, IMAX, and conventional theaters with a tentative release date sometime in 2014.
