Martin Scorsese Hires Andrew Garfield for ‘Silence’
The increasingly popular and increasingly in-demand Andrew Garfield will be teaming up with Martin Scorsese.
Garfield has seen his popularity soar thanks to The Social Network and The Amazing Spider-Man. Now, he will be working with one of the best working directors.
Silence is an adaptation of a 17th century novel by Shusaku Endo and it’ll see Garfield as Father Rodrigues. Ken Wantanabe (Inception) will also appear in the movie.
This won’t be Scorsese’s next film in theaters though. That distinction goes to The Wolf of Wall Street, which is set to release November 15, 2013. We will have to wait for Silence, as the film hasn’t began production and won’t release in the near future.
