You Should Definitely Check Out First Trailer for Indie Hit ‘Fruitvale Station’ Starring Michael B. Johnson (with Photos and Updated Release Date)
Until Sundance, I had never heard of Fruitvale Station. Chances are…you still haven’t heard of it. I am here to change that.
Fruitvale Station, winner of the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award for U.S. dramatic film at Sundance, released its first trailer of the heart-wrenchingly true drama. Since it is a true story, it’s not hard to figure out exactly what happens in the movie. I won’t spoil it for you, so I’ll just say it’s a film about Oscar Grant’s fateful New Year’s Day in 2009.
I won’t have to beat around the bush too long. The Weinstein Company plans to release Ryan Coogler’s feature debut on (update:) July 12, 2013. It stars Michael B. Johnson (Chronicle) as Grant. Octavia Spencer (The Help) is also involved in the project.
Check the trailer and photos out below, you won’t want to miss this film.
