‘300’ Sequel Pushed Back From August to March 2014 Release
Bad news for those ‘300’ fans, as the long-awaited sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire, will be awaited even longer with Warner Bros. pushing the film’s release back from August 2nd to March 7th 2014.
This is the same slot that the original sleeper hit succeeding in back in 2007, so we guess the studio are hoping for a repeat performance. President of domestic distribution Dan Fellman and president of international distribution Veronika Kwan Vandenberg announced the move, and had this to say:
“Moving 300: Rise of an Empire to March 7 continues in the tradition of the first 300, and kicks off the spring movie going season in epic style. The film is on track to become all that audiences have come to expect from the franchise.”
Tom Cruise blockbuster ‘All You Need is Kill’ has also been moved from its March 7th slot to the more high-profile June 6th 2014.
