Kate Hudson and Mandy Patinkin Join Zach Braff’s ‘Wish I Was There’
News broke a couple weeks ago of Zach Braff’s Kickstarter campaign to raise money for a follow-up to his directorial debut (Garden State). He quickly raised the $2 million and has now secured financing for the film.
Last week, Mandy Patinkin (Showtime’s Homeland) signed on to the project. Josh Gad (Back to You) and Jim Parsons (CBS’ The Big Bang Theory) also boarded the project. Now, we’ve learned that Kate Hudson (Almost Famous) will play Braff’s wife.
The plot revolves around a struggling actor looking for purpose in his life. Braff will star in it and helped write the script with his brother Adam. Production and release details are still unavailable.
