Photo Mania: X-Men: Days of Future Past, Oldboy, Monuments Men, and More
In this week’s edition of Photo Mania, I will be attaching the newest pictures for X-Men: Days of Future Past, Oldboy, Monuments Men, Jobs, Parkland, Big Hero 6, and The Last of Robin Hood.
If legs are your thing, make sure to check out some of Mystique’s (Jennifer Lawrence) ass-kicking (or throat-clenching) legs. The teaser photo released recently for next year’s hotly-anticipated X-Men: Days of Future Past. With almost the entire cast of the original X-Men trilogy mixed with the First Class newcomers, Days of Future Past has a lot of potential. Bryan Singer will return to the franchise, and the film releases May 23, 2014. (Source: EN)
Spike Lee’s (Inside Man) adaptation of Oldboy released four new photos as well. The photos show the two main stars, Josh Brolin (Men in Black III) and Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), before the adjusted release date on November 27th. All the photos are available below. (Source: The Huffington Post)
Marketing continues to ramp up for George Clooney’s directorial effort Monuments Men. Today, I’ve enclosed five photos that show off the impressive cast. Besides Clooney, the movie features Matt Damon, John Goodman, Bill Murray, and Cate Blanchett. About a group of older men (minus Damon) enlisted to protect valuable art and culture from the Nazis, the period film will release December 18th. (Source: Collider)
Just barely in front of this weekend’s release, I’ve added another photo from the Jobs biopic. Most notably starring Ashton Kutcher, the still also shows Josh Gad (21) as Steve Wozniak. Joshua Michael Stern (Swing Vote) directed the film that releases August 16th.
Peter Landesman’s Parkland showed off some of the first stills for the period drama about JFK’s assassination. The movie appears to be more about the Parkland Hospital right after the assassination than the historic act itself. My favorite photo is the above one that shows Paul Giamatti (Win, Win) as the famous Abraham Zapruder. You can check out all the photos below. We’ll hopefully get release date info soon. At last week’s D23 Expo, anything and everything Disney was on display. As part of the fallout, I’ve attached a photo from the upcoming Big Hero 6 project. Not only is it a Disney production, but it’s based on Marvel characters. The animated movie still seems pretty mysterious, but we do know it’ll be available November 7, 2014. Check out the photo above. (Source: Collider)
Lastly, I’ve attached the first photo for The Last of Robin Hood. Set to play at the Toronto International Film Festival, we can expect a conventional release date soon (I’m sure). Kevin Kline (Wild Wild West) will star as Errol Flynn, and the film will focus on the last days of his life. Dakota Fanning (War of the Worlds) and Susan Sarandon (Thelma & Louise) also appear in the movie directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland. (Source: Bleeding Cool)
