Photo Mania: Anchorman 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and More
Following Monday’s trailers and yesterday’s posters, I’ve put together quite the line-up of new photos. Below you can find new photos for Anchorman 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Noah, The Fifth Estate, and The Zero Theorem.
Enjoy the photos and come back tomorrow for the latest news.
After years of waiting, we finally got news (haha) that Anchorman 2 was happening. Now, we’ve got two more photos hyping director Adam McKay and actors Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and David Koechner’s return. The movie releases December 20th. Check out the photos above. Another sequel, this one coming out May 2, 2014, also released a new batch of images. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also returns its stars – Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Sally Field – while adding Jamie Foxx (Horrible Bosses), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), and Paul Giamatti (The Illusionist). Marc Webb also returns as director. Check out the gallery of interesting photos below. (Source: Collider)
Keeping on the superhero sequel road, X-Men: Days of Future Past released its first official photo. With basically everyone in the franchise involved in the project, a lot of people (myself included) are counting the days until May 23, 2014. Bryan Singer also returns to the X-Men franchise, which is surely a good sign. The photo, shown above, features arguably the face of the franchise – Hugh Jackman – as well as Nicholas Hoult and James McAvoy. (Source: Bleeding Cool).
The next stop on the sequel road finds us looking at a new photo for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Peter Jackson’s fifth total film in the franchise and sequel to last year’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey returns Martin Freeman, Ian McKellen, and more. We’ll also finally get to see Orlando Bloom, who is absent from the photo. (Source: Collider)
Finally, a semi-original film! Darren Aronofsky’s (Black Swan) Noah showcased some of the best photos of the week. The beautiful shots have me even more excited for another Aronofsky film. It has a good cast, too, which includes Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly (Requiem for a Dream), and Anthony Hopkins. Make sure to check out the full gallery below before the March 28, 2014 release. Making our way back to this year’s releases, The Fifth Estate has been posting plenty of pictures on their official Facebook page. Based on the WikiLeaks website, Bill Condon’s (Twilight) newest movie stars Benedict Cumberbatch (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Daniel Brühl (Inglorious Basterds). Below are all ten photos before the October 18th release. (Source: Facebook)
To finish things out, Terry Gilliam’s anticipated project The Zero Theorem, starring Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) and Matt Damon, released two more photos. The movie certainly sounds and looks interesting…but interesting isn’t always good. The jury will make its decision at the Venice Film Festival and in theaters starting December 20th. I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I did.
The End.
