Marvel released two more posters for their next superhero movie. They’re churning out movies left and right with Thor: The Dark World up next. One of the best parts of the entire superhero universe is Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and he’s highlighted in one of the posters. Star Chris Hemsworth is in the other character poster. Natalie Portman also returns in the sequel that is directed by Alan Taylor (HBO’s Game of Thrones) that releases November 8th. (Source: Marvel)
On the opposite end of the genre spectrum comes Last Vegas. Four retired friends, played by esteemed actors Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Kline, all make one last trip to Sin City for a bachelor party. Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure) directs the film that will play opposite Ender’s Game on November 1st. (Source: Film School Rejects)
The George Clooney-starring and directed The Monuments Men has been on a streak lately. The newest marketing comes in the form of a poster. The yellow poster highlights the promising cast with Matt Damon at the forefront. He’ll be the youngin of the older WWII group in charge of preserving culture and art. (Source: Comingsoon)
An “older” Johnny Knoxville takes center stage in the newest poster for Jackass Presents: Bad Grandpa. Holding a six-pack in one hand and his “grandson” in the other, Bad Grandpa is apparently a mix between Borat and the Jackass movies. Jeff Tremaine (Jackass: The Movie) will again be the director. Kill Your Darlings, which first gained recognition at Sundance in January, released a poster, too. The thriller has some starpower behind it with Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), and Michael C. Hall (Showtime’s Dexter) involved. It’s directed by John Krokidas and releases limitedly October 18th.
More interesting photography came online for The Zero Theorem. Fans of Terry Gilliam (Twelve Monkeys) are probably excited (to say the least) for what looks like an eccentric movie. It stars Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) and Melanie Thierry (Babylon A.D.). You can see the movie December 20th. (Source: The Film Stage)
Finally, on the heels of yesterday’s trailer, you can check out the latest poster for The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete. The big names are Anthony Mackie (Pain & Gain) and Jennifer Hudson. The drama is about two young kids that are left on their own after their mother is arrested. It releases October 11th and is directed by George Tillman, Jr. (Notorious). (Source: Collider)
