Clip Mania: Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2, Kill Your Darlings, and More
In this week’s edition of Clip Mania, I’ll be enclosing the newest from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Kill Your Darlings, The Zero Theorem, Nymphomaniac, Enough Said (x2), and Curse of Chucky.
You can check out the entire week’s work by looking at the trailers, posters, photos, and news breaks.
Another clip, this one continuing the “foodimals” trend (they’re really playing up the food puns), released for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn will be directing the sequel that returns Bill Hader and Anna Faris’ voice. It’ll hit theaters September 27th.
John Krokidas’s film Kill Your Darlings released a clip before its Toronto International Film Festival screening in four days. It’ll also find regular theaters starting October 16th. Kill Your Darlings features Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter), Dane DeHaan (Chronicle), and Michael C. Hall (Showtime’s Dexter). Check out the clip if you’re as excited as I am for the movie.
Another day, another glimpse at The Zero Theorem. I have to give them credit because despite the newest pictures, posters, trailers, and now a clip, it’s still hard to get a grasp on what the movie is about. What we do know is Terry Gilliam (12 Monkeys) is directing the existential sci-fi drama that releases December 20th. Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) headlines the film with Matt Damon playing a supporting role.
Sticking with their monthly routine, Lars von Trier’s (Melancholia) Nymphomaniac released another clip. The movie stars Charlotte Gainsbourg (Melancholia) and Shia LaBeouf (Transformers). It still doesn’t have a release date, but it’ll release in Denmark on Christmas Day.
Two clips for Nicole Holofcener’s (Please Give) Enough Said became available a few days ago, too. It most notably stars the late James Gandolfini, but Julia Louis-Dreyfus (NBC’s Seinfeld) and Catherine Keener (Capote) also appear in the movie. The comedy will release soon (September 18th).
In case you didn’t know (like me), the Child’s Play franchise will continue on with another film at the end of this month. The Video On Demand only film Curse of Chucky releases September 24th before its Blu-ray/DVD release in early October. Check out the interesting (to say the least) clip that came online this week. It’s directed by Don Mancini (Seed of Chucky) and stars Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings).
Enjoy your weekend!
