Photo Mania: Rush, Don Jon, The Counselor, and More
I’ve got a plethora of new photos below for an array of news movies. Starting with the newest movie, Rush, I’ll be showing the latest from it, Don Jon, The Counselor, Foxcatcher, Parkland, and Words and Pictures. They’ll be full galleries below the movies with lots of pictures.
If you want to catch up on the week, check out the latest trailers and posters.
A bunch of photos – 23 to be exact – came online for Ron Howard’s (Apollo 13) Rush. I didn’t think I could be excited for a Formula-1 racing movie, but the rivalry between Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) looks pretty fantastic. The photos are all over the place, showing the two main characters, the cars, the setting, and everything you need to know. Check them all out below before its September 20 (limited) and 27 (wide) release.
Although its not quite 23 photos, Don Jon released 14 ahead of its upcoming release. Joseph Gordon-Levitt will make his directorial debut, and as you can see, he’s joined by Scarlett Johansson. The romantic comedy (emphasis on comedy) about a “meathead” trying to find love will release September 27th as well. Check out all the photos below.
Along with yesterday’s new poster, I’ve added eight new photos for The Counselor. Again, they highlight the great cast, including Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender (X-Men: First Class), Javier Bardem (No Country For Old Men), Penelope Cruz (Vanilla Sky), and Cameron Diaz (Vanilla Sky). Ridley Scott’s (Prometheus) drama, which focuses on a businessman (Fassbender) knee-deep in the drug trade, hits theaters October 25th. (Source: IndieWire)
Although Foxcatcher includes actors like Steve Carell (Anchorman), Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers), and Channing Tatum (Magic Mike), I’d be surprised if a lot of people have heard about the upcoming film. The sleeper pic will head to theaters starting December 20th. As for story, it’s about real-life convicted murderer John Eleuthère du Pont who killed an Olympic gold-medal winner back in 1996. As for director, it’ll be the next effort by Moneyball’s Bennett Miller. (Source: Cinema Blend)
Back to the galleries we go. Below you can find 14 photos for Parkland, the latest film account surrounding J.F.K.’s assassination. This one is a little different, though, because it focuses on Parkland Hospital directly after the tragic shooting. The photos most notably highlight the period part of the story, so I’d check them out if it sounds interesting. Talent-wise, Zac Efron (17 Again), Paul Giamatti (The Illusionist), and Billy Bob Thornton (Armageddon) are the biggest names, with Peter Landesman serving as director. The movie releases in theaters October 4th. (Source: Collider)
Finishing things out, I thought I’d share the first look I’ve seen of Fred Schepisi’s (The Eye of the Storm) Words and Pictures. As one of the many films vying for recognition at the film festival circuit, Words and Pictures stars Clive Owen (Inside Man) and Juliette Binoche (The Kids Are All Right). So far the drama doesn’t have a release date…but expect that to change. (Source: Collider)
I hope you enjoyed all the pictures. Check back next Wednesday for more!
