Poster Mania: Ender’s Game, Thor: The Dark World, RoboCop, and More
Who says summer blockbuster season is over? Well, I guess I have said it a few times. However, with movies like Ender’s Game and Thor: The Dark World coming out in November, it sure doesn’t seem like things are ramping down. Besides those two, I’ve attached a poster for RoboCop, Frozen, and The Book Thief, as well as character posters for The Counselor.
Make sure you check out yesterday’s trailers, too.
Gavin Hood’s (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) Ender’s Game adaptation released a few different posters in a couple places. There was a new international poster as well as two propaganda posters (all above). Releasing November 1st, it’ll be interesting to see how this movie does just three weeks in front of the next Hunger Games movie. Ender’s Game stars Asa Butterfield (Hugo) and Harrison Ford. A Loki-heavy international poster for Thor: The Dark World also released. Tom Hiddleston is just one of the many returning stars in Alan Taylor’s (HBO’s Game of Thrones) sequel to Thor. The Dark World releases one short week after Ender’s Game on November 8th, so that’ll be interesting, too. (Source: MTV)
A sleek (and cool) new poster for the RoboCop remake surfaced online, too. José Padilha (Secrets of the Tribe) is in charge of the film that stars Joel Kinnaman (AMC’s The Killing) and Samuel L. Jackson. Unfortunately we’ll have to wait longer to see this movie as it doesn’t release until February 7, 2014. (Source: Collider)
From RoboCop to Disney, I’ve also added the newest poster for Frozen. The animated fairy tale voice stars Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarha Marshall) and Idina Menzel (Rent). Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee co-directed the film and we can see it come November 27th. (Source: USA Today)
The final November release in this post goes to Brian Percival’s adaptation of The Book Thief. Geoffrey Rush (The King’s Speech) and Emily Watson (Anna Karenina) are the two biggest names involved in the project. As you can probably tell by the poster, the film takes place during World War II. Check out the movie November 15th. (Source: Comingsoon)
To finish things out, there are five character posters for Ridley Scott’s (Prometheus) drama The Counselor. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, The Counselor has a phenomenal cast (which you can see in full below). I’m excited to see the movie starting October 25th. (Source: IndieWire)
