Trailer Round-Up: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Anchorman 2, and More
Seven trailers for six different movies are below to open the work week. It includes the first trailer for next year’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. There are also two new trailers released for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. The rest of the trailers are for The Book Thief, That Awkward Moment, Neighbors, and Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
Check them all out below…
Anthony and Joe Russo’s (You, Me, and Dupree) Captain America: The Winter Soldier finally released a trailer. It doesn’t come out until April 4, 2014, but people are undoubtedly excited for the next Marvel movie (even though Thor: The Dark World hasn’t released quite yet). The Winter Soldier will add Scarlett Johansson and Cobie Smulders to the Captain America franchise while bringing back Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell.
Not one, but two trailers came out for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. For those (like me) excited for the long-awaited sequel, it’ll return just about everyone, including Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, David Koechner, and Christina Applegate. Also, Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) and Harrison Ford are among the newcomers. It’s again directed by Adam KcKay and will hit theaters starting December 20th.
An international trailer landed online for The Book Thief. Brian Percival’s (The Old Curiosity Shop) adaptation of the popular novel lands in theaters sooner than the first two featured movies. We can see it starting November 15th here in the U.S. It stars Geoffrey Rush (The King’s Speech) and newcomer Sophie Nelisse. If you want to know more about the film, check it out above!
After last week’s red band trailer, That Awkward Moment (directed by Tom Gormican) released a green band trailer. The tamer version still shows stars Zac Efron, Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now), and Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale). This movie won’t release until January 31, 2014.
Neighbors, another Zac Efron movie, released a trailer as well. The comedy also stars Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids). It’s set for a release on May 9, 2014. I’m most excited because Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) directed the movie.
Rob Minkoff’s (The Lion King) Mr. Peabody & Sherman is the final movie to be featured. The first trailer includes the voices of Ty Burrell (ABC’s Modern Family) and Max Charles (The Three Stooges). The animated comedy will also release in 2014 on March 7th.
