Clip Mania: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, American Hustle, and More
Happy Hunger Games Day! It’s been a long time (or so it seems) since the original Hunger Games movie came out, and today (well, last night) marked the premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Below you can find a last-minute clip for that movie, as well as one or more clips for American Hustle (it’s a Jennifer Lawrence-heavy post), Saving Mr. Banks, Frozen, 47 Ronin, and Philomena.
Have a great weekend!
By now, some of you (like me) have already seen The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. However, for those of you that haven’t (or for those of you that want to rewatch one scene), a new clip came online for Francis Lawrence’s (I Am Legend) newest. The movie stars Jennifer Lawrence as the tough-as-nails Quarter Quell participant. Also in the movie is Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Woody Harrelson. Check out the clip and check out the whole movie this weekend!
Speaking of Jennifer Lawrence, she’s back in the latest clip from David O. Russell’s (Silver Linings Playbook) period drama American Hustle. Also featuring names like Christian Bale, Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner, and Amy Adams, Hustle could be a big player this Holiday season. It releases on December 13th (limited) and December 18th (wide). Check out the clip above.
Speaking of Holiday season, Saving Mr. Banks – the Disney film about Walt Disney – showed off another clip before its December 13th release date. Banks stars Tom Hanks as Walt Disney with Emma Thompson (Harry Potter) starring as P.L. Travers (author of ‘Mary Poppins’). For those wondering, the movie is directed by John Lee Hancock (The Blind Side).
Speaking of Disney, Frozen also released a new clip. Voice starring Kristen Bell (Forgetting Sarah Marshall), the fair tale-turned movie releases in limited engagements this weekend with a wider release set for November 27th. It’s directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, and I’m hoping it’s a great movie!
Three clips came online for 47 Ronin, too. It most notably stars Keanu Reeves (The Matrix). Carl Erik Rinsch directed the film that has been in production/on hold for quite some time. That’ll change on December 25th when it releases. Check out all three clips above if you’re interested in the movie.
The last clip belongs to another movie that releases starting today. Philonema will be in limited theaters this weekend, but with a cast that includes Judi Dench (Skyfall) and Steve Coogan (The Trip), I wouldn’t be surprised if it still brings in a good box office ticket. Philonema is directed by Stephen Frears (High Fidelity).
Have a great weekend!
