Photo Mania: X-Men: Days of Future Past, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and More
Hello folks and welcome to the one, the only, Photo Mania of the week. Today you can check out the latest photo releases for X-Men: Days of Future Past, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Edge of Tomorrow, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, Veronica Mars, The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Labor Day.
Check in on the latest trailers and posters if you missed them, too.
A new photo released online for arguably the hottest anticipated movie of the year. Ever since I saw the footage at Comic-Con, I’ve been practically counting down the days until the release of X-Men: Days of Future Past. Each day we get closer, and today we can at least see a new still. The film, which is directed by Bryan Singer (X-Men), releases finally on May 23rd. It’ll return X-Men stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and more. (Source: Comingsoon)
Right behind X-Men comes the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Captain America: The Winter Solider. And by “right behind” I mean on the anticipation scale because Captain America makes it to theaters already April 4th. As the pictures show, Chris Evans will return and Anthony Mackie (Pain & Gain) will join the franchise. The Russo Brothers (You, Me, and Dupree) are in charge of the movie. (Source: Total Film)
Edge of Tomorrow, although not a superhero movie, is just another one of the many blockbusters set to release this year. Doug Liman’s (Jumper) action film will release smack-dab in the middle of the summer on June 6th. The picture above shows the two stars, Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt (Looper). (Source: Twitter)
To balance things out, I thought I’d include the final batch of photos for Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit before it comes out this weekend starting January 17th. Kenneth Branagh (Thor) directs that action-thriller that stars Chris Pine (Star Trek Into Darkness) and Keira Knightley (Pirates of the Caribbean). Check out the full gallery below. Things are starting to heat up for Veronica Mars. Earlier this week, a new trailer and poster released. Now you can check out three new photos (one above, the others below) for the film adaptation that’ll return Kristen Bell and creator Rob Thomas. The movie hits limited theaters March 14th. Wes Anderson’s (Moonrise Kingdom) The Grand Budapest Hotel released a bunch of photos to introduce the spectacular cast. This cast includes Bill Murray, Adrien Brody, Jude Law, Edward Norton, Owen Wilson, Tilda Swinton, Saoirse Ronan, and so many more. The comedy looks interesting (check out the full gallery to see what I’m saying) and I’ll be one of the firsts to see it starting March 7th. (Source: IndieWire)
A full gallery for Labor Day finishes us off this week. I’ve attached fifteen photos below that mostly show off stars Josh Brolin and Kate Winslet. Jason Reitman’s (Juno) newest film had a very limited release in December with a wider release scheduled for January 31st. (Source: Collider)
