Trailer Round-Up: Dom Hemingway, Walk of Shame, and More
Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! I hope all of you are having a great day off. Even if you didn’t get a chance to relax today, you can still check out the latest trailers from the past week. In this week’s edition, check out the newest from Dom Hemingway, Walk of Shame, Cesar Chavez, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Cuban Fury, Adult World, and The Face of Love below.
Richard Shepard’s (I Knew it was You) Dom Hemingway stars Jude Law and Emilia Clarke (HBO’s Game of Thrones) and released another trailer. The black-comedy looks pretty entertaining, to be completely honest, but I’m curious about the film as a whole. After playing at some film festivals last year, it’ll release in U.S. theaters April 4th.
Elizabeth Banks’ (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire) next comedy-starrer, Walk of Shame, debuted a new trailer. The film also stars James Marsden (Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues) and Gillian Jacobs (NBC’s Community). Steven Brill (Mr. Deeds) directs the movie that’ll hit theaters March 14th.
A couple weeks after Walk of Shame will come the admittedly very different Cesar Chavez. The biopic stars Michael Pena (American Hustle) as labor rights activity Cesar Chavez. Even though it’ll probably be forgotten by the end of the year, this type of movie seems like something that’d make waves later in the year. Instead, Diego Luna’s (Abel) movie will release on March 28th. Check out a trailer if you’re interested in the movie.
Another March release is the animated comedy Mr. Peabody & Sherman. Although I’m not super interested in the film, Ty Burrell (ABC’s Modern Family) and Stephen Colbert are among the voice actors contributing to the movie. It’s directed by Rob Minkoff (The Lion King) and releases March 7th. Again, take a look at the trailer if this movie seems like something you’d enjoy.
Next on the docket is the new trailer for Cuban Fury. This romantic comedy seems a little bit more in my ballpark since it stars Nick Frost (The World’s End), Rashida Jones (I Love You, Man), and Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids). James Griffths’ (Showtime’s Episodes) comedy will dance into theaters soon (an official date is still up in the air).
Can you think of two actors any different than Emma Roberts (We’re the Millers) and John Cusack? I wouldn’t have believed they were in a movie together had it not been for the newest trailer for Adult World. Telling the story of a poet that ends up working in an adult book store, Scott Coffey’s (Ellie Parker) movie seems interesting on the surface. Check out the trailer now before the movie gets an official release date.
To finish things off, I’ve included a trailer for The Face of Love. Arie Posin’s (The Chumscrubber) newest film stars some great names, like Robin Williams, Ed Harris, and Annette Bening, but is still lacking a release date (go figure). Check it out!
