Clip Mania: The Monuments Men, I, Frankenstein, and More
Happy Friday and Happy Clip Mania. In this week’s Clip Mania, I’ve got four clips for next month’s The Monuments Men, two clips for The Better Angels, and a clip for I, Frankenstein, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Frank, A Most Wanted Man, and The One I Love in between.
Check them all out below.
The Monuments Men, which was initially set to release last calendar year, is finally nearing its actual release. The George Clooney-directed movie stars him, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, and John Goodman. Set during World War II, the four new clips give us a good insight into the war drama. Check the movie out on February 7th.
Starting today, you can see Stuart Beattie’s (G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra) I, Frankenstein. Starting earlier this week, you could’ve seen the final clip before the movie released. Go ahead and watch the clip, which features star Aaron Eckhart (The Dark Knight) before going to the movie this weekend.
Moving back to March, I found another clip for Mr. Peabody & Sherman. For those unaware, the animated comedy voice stars Ty Burrell (ABC’s Modern Family), Stephen Colbert, and Leslie Mann (This is 40). Rob Minkoff’s (The Lion King) latest movie reaches theaters March 7th.
In the lesser-known category, the Sundance comedy Frank released a clip alongside its screening this past week. You may not know the title by name, but we all know about Michael Fassbender, and he just so happens to be one of the stars. As of now, Lenny Abrahamson’s (What Richard Did) films is without a domestic release date.
A Most Wanted Man becomes the second Sundance movie with a clip. This one has quite the cast, which includes Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), Robin Wright (Netflix’s House of Cards), and Rachel McAdams (The Notebook). The thriller is directed by Anton Corbijn (The American). So far, it doesn’t have a U.S. release date, so check out the clip above!
Mark Duplass (Safety Not Guaranteed), Elisabeth Moss (AMC’s Mad Men), and Ted Danson (CBS’s CSI) are a few of the names in the next Sundance comedy featured here during Clip Mania. The film, titled The One I Love, is directed by Charlie McDowell, and is still without a release date. If you were like me and hadn’t heard of this film, check it out.
Lastly, two clips released for The Better Angels. Like a couple of the other movies this time around, the title may not ring a whole lot of bells. However, actors like Diane Kruger, Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), Brit Marling (Another Earth), and Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games) lead the cast that’s directed by A.J. Edwards. Even better yet, the film is about Abraham Lincoln’s childhood. Like the others, it is currently awaiting a release date after Sundance.
Have a great weekend!
