Photo Mania: The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and More
To start off your April 2nd, I’ve compiled the next addition of Photo Mania. For those that don’t know, every Wednesday here at Film Equals you can find the latest and greatest movie stills. Following this week’s trailers and posters, this post will feature movies like The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Transcendence, Walk of Shame, Serena, Joe, and The Drop.
Scroll for the photos and galleries!
A new picture of Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) as the Green Goblin surfaced online and it is a doozy. Personally, I like the grotesque look, but I could see some people being taken aback by it. Marc Webb’s sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, also stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, and Jamie Foxx. It’ll hit theaters May 2nd. (Source: TheWrap)
Seven photos came online for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For as well. Frank Miller and Robert Rodgriguez (Machete) direct with Jessica Alba, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green, and Bruce Willis all appearing in the comic book film. A Dame to Kill For is currently scheduled for an August 22nd release. Check out all the photos below. (Source: IndieWire)
Even earlier than the previous two movies is Wally Pfister’s directorial debut. The longtime cinematographer will take on the sci-fi/A.I. genre when his movie Transcendence hits theaters on April 17th. It’ll star Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, and Rebecca Hall (The Prestige). Check out the entire gallery below. (Source: Comingsoon)
With yesterday’s poster release, I wanted to follow-up with a look at a few stills for Walk of Shame. Steven Brill’s (Mr. Deeds) comedy, which will release on May 2nd, stars Elizabeth Banks (featured in all three photos below), James Marsden (X-Men), and Gillian Jacobs (NBC’s Community). If you liked Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, chances are you you are okay with another Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper-starring pic. Although this one is directed by Susanne Bier (and not David O. Russell), the period drama Serena stars these two once again! If you want to see some photos from the film, check them out below. Unfortunately, a 2014 release isn’t guaranteed yet. In fact, no date has been set yet. (Source: The Film Stage)
The earliest release of the bunch belongs to Joe – a limited release film by David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express). The film, as you can see by the gallery below, stars Nicolas Cage and Tye Sheridan (Mud). Watch for this one starting April 11th. (Source: IndieWire)
To finish things off, I wanted to give you the first looks at The Drop. Although the late James Gandolfini has appeared in another film (Enough Said) since his unfortunate passing, that wasn’t the last time we’d get to see him! The Drop, which co-stars Tom Hardy and is directed by Michael R. Roskam (Bullhead), released five photos before its September 19th release. (Source: USA Today)
