Clip Mania: X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and More
As we start the weekend, I thought I’d attach the latest (and newest) clips. Unlike previous weeks, these are singular clips only (unfortunately). Also unlike most weeks, there is just one release for this weekend’s movies (Fading Gigolo). However, all this is made up for by including some of the most anticipated movies of the summer. This includes X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, 22 Jump Street, The Fault In Our Stars, Million Dollar Arm, and Neighbors.
Each clip (and info on each movie) is available below.
As if May 23rd couldn’t get here fast enough already, a clip of the opening battle for X-Men: Days of Future Past released to get us even more excited! Bryan Singer returns with pretty much every star (past and present) that’s been featured in an X-Men film. This includes big names like Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Michael Fassbender, Halle Berry, and much, much more. Check out the clip!
At least we’ll have The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as a stepping stone before Days of Future Past. I was down on Marc Webb’s first iteration in the franchise, but I am hopeful the second one won’t be bogged down by Spider-Man’s origin story (in theory, right?). Stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are joined by Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan in the second film (set to release May 2nd). A new clip released this past week and is above.
22 Jump Street is yet another sequel with a new clip. The film (and clip) stars Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill as they reprise their respective roles. Going along with the recurring theme of going undercover, the first clip shows a portion of what our favorite hooligans will be up to next time around. Phil Lord and Chris Miller also return to direct the film that is set to come out on June 13th.
Although I haven’t read the book yet, there is considerable hype around Josh Boone’s (Stuck in Love) film adaptation, The Fault In Our Stars. You can see the two main characters (played by Divergent’s Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort) interacting. As you can probably guess, the narrative revolves around a couple of cancer patients. The movie promises to break our hearts (or so I’ve heard) starting June 6th.
You may have just seen Jon Hamm on the premiere of AMC’s latest season of Mad Men, but you can also check him out in a Disney movie. Talk about a contrast, right? In Million Dollar Arm, Hamm will play a sports agent that tries to recruit Indian baseball players. Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) directs the film, set to release on May 16th, and Disney has uploaded a new clip above!

At this past weekend’s MTV Awards, a new clip became available for the raunchy comedy Neighbors. With names like Seth Rogen, Zac Efron, Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids), and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Superbad), how could you not be at least a little excited to watch this movie? Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) directs the film that’ll hit theaters May 9th.
Last, but not least, is the latest clip for Fading Gigolo. Unlike the others, this one hits (limited) theaters starting today! If you have the opportunity to see it, you may want to watch the newest clip first (above). John Turturro (Passione) directs and stars alongside Woody Allen and Sharon Stone (Lovelace). Enjoy!
Have a great weekend!
