Clip Mania: How to Train Your Dragon 2, Neighbors, and More
Happy Friday from Film Equals. On Fridays, we (among other things) always present the latest clips. The seven films featured are How to Train Your Dragon 2 (with two clips), Neighbors (with five clips), Walk of Shame (with two clips), Million Dollar Man (with one clip), Chef (with one clip), Brick Mansions (with one clip), and Decoding Annie Parker (also with one clip).
If you missed this week’s trailers, posters, photos, and news briefs, click over to the respective link.
Two clips – including the opening five minutes – for How to Train Your Dragon 2 probably provided the biggest splash of the week. Both are available above for Dean DeBlois’ follow-up to the 2010 hit animated comedy. Jay Baruchel, Gerard Butler, and Jonah Hill are among the returners and the movie is set to come out June 13th.
A much different film (but one with a certain amount of anticipation behind it), in Neighbors, also released a few clips. All five of them are above for the movie that’ll star Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids), and Zac Efron when it comes out May 9th. Nicholas Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) directs the movie.
Two clips came online for Walk of Shame, too. Set to release on May 2nd already, the movie will most notably star Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect) and James Marsden (Superman Returns). Steven Brill (Drillbit Taylor) is credited as director for this comedy.
Like last week, I’ve got another clip for the Jon Hamm-starring Disney pic Million Dollar Arm. Also starring Suraj Sharma (Life of Pi) and Lake Bell (No Strings Attached), the baseball drama will be Craig Gillespie’s (Lars and the Real Girl) next project and will come out May 16th.
A week before Million Dollar Arm will see the release of Jon Favreau’s Chef (officially on May 9th). Favreau will star alongside fellow Avengers stars Robert Downey, Jr. and Scarlett Johansson. If you’d like another glimpse at the movie, check the clip above.
This week’s obligatory weekend release clip is for Brick Mansions. This one is unfortunately known as being Paul Walker’s first movie since his passing. Walker is joined onscreen by David Belle (The Family) and Rza (The Man with the Iron Fists). Check out the clip above and the whole movie this weekend!
Finally, if you’d like to see a dancing Aaron Paul (Need for Speed), I’ve got the clip for you! For the movie Decoding Annie Parker, which will hit V.O.D. on May 2nd, Paul will be flanked by Helen Hunt and Rashida Jones (I Love You, Man). Cinematographer Steven Bernstein’s directorial debut looks like a movie to keep an eye on.
Have a great weekend everyone!
