Clip Mania: X-Men: Days of Future Past, Walk of Shame, and More
On this week’s normal Friday Clip Mania, I’ll have a bunch of clips for movies that are releasing in this busy May. Besides X-Men: Days of Future Past, the clips below aren’t for very big movies. However, I’d still check out the clips for that one plus Walk of Shame, The Two Faces of January, Decoding Annie Parker, Legend of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, Begin Again, and Bad Johnson.
If you missed this week’s trailers, posters, photos, and news, follow the respective links.
Two clips came online for X-Men: Days of Future Past…making me even more excited for its release. Coming out already May 23rd, Bryan Singer’s next X-Men film brings together Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Patrick Stewart, and Ian McKellen. Check both videos out above!
Coming out in limited theaters this weekend is the Elizabeth Banks-starring comedy Walk of Shame. This one is directed by Steven Brill (Drillbit Taylor). If you’re on the fence about this one, check out the latest clip that was released this past week.
Along with the ten photos I showed off Tuesday, I’ve got a clip for The Two Faces of January. Hossein Amini’s directorial debut has a pretty impressive cast that includes Viggo Mortensen (The Lord of the Rings), Kirsten Dunst (Spider-Man), and Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis). If you’d like, you can see a scene from the movie above. As of right now, there is no U.S. release date.
For the second week in a row, I’ve got another clip for Decoding Annie Parker. Steven Berstein’s directorial debut stars Aaron Paul (Need for Speed), Helen Hunt, and more. This one, like Walk of Shame, comes out this weekend in limited theaters.
Seven clips – far and away the most of the week – hit the interwebs for the 3-D animated flick Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return. Although the movie isn’t slated to come out until next weekend (May 9th), this should give you enough time to watch them all. Dan Aykroyd and Kelsey Grammer are two of the bigger credited voice stars in this project. It’s directed by Will Finn (Home on the Range) and Daniel St. Pierre (Everyone’s Hero).
Besides just Days of Future Past, my favorite (or most anticipated, rather) clip is for Begin Again. I am excited for this film for a few reasons, but Once director John Carney is probably reason number 1. It also helps that Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, and Hailee Steinfeld are involved in the musical rom-com. This one hits theaters starting July 4th.
The final clip of the week is also for the final movie release of this weekend. Titled Bad Johnson, the sex comedy is directed by Huck Botko (The Virginity Hit). Also, the pic stars Cam Gigandet (Easy A) and Jamie Chung (Sucker Punch). If you’re interested in the movie, check out the clip above.
Have a great weekend!
