Photo Mania: 22 Jump Street, Earth to Echo, The Book of Life, and More
Another week, another Photo Mania. In this Wednesday’s version, I’ve got photos (and galleries when necessary) for upcoming movies like 22 Jump Street, Earth to Each, The Book of Life, The Rover, Kill the Messenger, A Walk Among the Tombstones, and Suffragette. As you can see, there are an array of genres (with an array of talent and release dates).
To learn about each film, check below!
As we get closer to its release, more photos came online for 22 Jump Street. Chris Miller and Phil Lord (who have proven to be quite the comedic duo) return as directors with Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill reprising their respective roles. Take a look at the gallery below for more shots of the movie. This one releases on June 13th. (Source: Collider)
Relativity Media sent over eight photos for Earth to Echo has well. This sci-fi adventure is directed by Dave Green with a bunch of younger actors starring (like Teo Halm, Brian Bradley, and Reese Hartwig). Take a look at the photos below which were shot under Disney’s umbrella. Also, check out the full film on July 2nd.
Going along with the first trailer and poster, I’ve completed the Film Equals trifecta this week with new photos for The Book of Life. This one, which isn’t set to come out until October 17th, is directed by animator Jorge Gutierrez. However, Guillermo del Toro is also onboard as a producer. The photos are below but they don’t show the film’s fun voice cast that includes names like Channing Tatum, Zoe Saldana (Avatar), and Ron Perlman (Hellboy). (Source: USA Today)
If you haven’t heard of The Rover, I’d suggest getting onboard with this upcoming release. Not only does the movie star Guy Pearce (Iron-Man 3) and Robert Pattinson, but it is directed by David Michod (who did the fabulous Australian film Animal Kingdom). The movie recently played at Cannes and hits U.S. theaters on June 13th. Until then, check out the photos below! (Source: IndieWire)
Speaking of the Film Equals trifecta, I’ve also attached a photo that was sent over for Kill the Messenger. The film is based on a true story and most notably touts Jeremy Renner’s name. If you missed yesterday’s poster or Monday’s trailer, check those out. Be sure to see Michael Cuesta’s (Roadie) film starting October 10th.
A Walk Among the Tombstones released a poster recently as well. Along with it comes a small gallery of photos (available below). The biggest name attached to this action film is Liam Neeson, but Oscar-nominated writer Scott Frank (Out of Sight) is also named as the director. Tombstones releases September 19th. To finish things out, I’ve attached the first look at Suffragette. Sarah Gavron (Brick Lane) is directing the movie with Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter (Fight Club), and Carey Mulligan (Drive) starring in it. Suffragette should release sometime this year but an official date isn’t known yet. (Source: IndieWire)
