Clip Mania: Transformers: Age of Extinction, How to Train Your Dragon 2, and More
Happy Friday! To get ready for this weekend’s films, I’ve attached a new clip for How to Train Your Dragon 2 and The Signal. As for the other movies, you can see clip(s) for Transformers: Age of Extinction, Earth to Echo, Jersey Boys, White Bird in a Blizzard, and Third Person.
The first clip I have is for the perhaps the biggest movie of the summer (or for some: the year). Transformers: Age of Extinction is the movie I’m talking about and a quick clip is available above. The movie brings in Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, and more when it comes out on July 27th. This Transformers is again directed by Michael Bay.
I also included a clip for How to Train Your Dragon 2. Transformers 4 barely has anything on Dragon 2 because the first Dragon film (also directed by Dean DeBlois) was a commercial and critical success. There are many differences, mainly in genre and cast (with Jay Baruchel, Jonah Hill, and Craig Ferguson headlining this one). Enjoy the new clip and see the movie starting today!
I also wanted to mention the two clips I found online for the sci-fi film Earth to Echo. To be honest, I haven’t been very excited about what I’ve seen from this film, but to each their own. Earth to Echo is full of newcomers (with Teo Halm playing the main character) and is directed by Dave Green. If you like the clips, check out the full movie starting July 2nd.
Clint Eastwood’s (Gran Turino) musical biography, Jersey Boys, definitely takes the top prize for quantity this week. Not one, not two, but six clips landed online for Eastwood’s next directorial project. Names like Christopher Walken and Vincent Piazza (HBO’s Boardwalk Empire) are involved, but music fans should be excited to know the musical star (which the movie is based on), John Lloyd Young, is also playing a huge role in the movie. Expect to see and hear this one on June 20th.
The first clip (that I’ve seen, at least) for this year’s Sundance-premiering White Bird in a Blizzard surfaced way earlier this week. I’ve attached the clip that shows off its main star, Shailene Woodley, and I’d suggest checking it out. This smaller thriller also stars Eva Green (who seems to be everywhere lately) and will be distributed by Magnolia eventually (no specific date yet). Oh, and the movie is directed by Gregg Araki (Kaboom).
Above are three new clips for Third Person as well. Paul Haggis’ (Crash) next film stars Liam Neeson (who seems to be everywhere lately as well), Mila Kunis, and Olivia Wilde (Her). Check out all three clips before seeing the movie in limited theaters starting June 20th.
And rounding things out is the singular clip for The Signal. This sci-fi film is directed by William Eubank (Love) and also releases this weekend (although, unlike How to Train Your Dragon 2, it is in limited release). If you’re wondering if you’ll like the movie, which stars Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix) and Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent), I’d check out the new clip.
Have a great weekend!
