Poster Mania: Guardians of the Galaxy, Dumb and Dumber To, and More
Although yesterday’s Trailer Round-Up wasn’t the most “exciting” in terms of new releases, today’s Poster Mania certainly makes up for it! In fact, huge movies like Guardians of the Galaxy, Dumb and Dumber To, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and Big Hero 6 all have new poster(s). Besides those, I have posters for Paddington, Birdman, and The Interview.
Check them all out below!
As we get deeper into the summer, we’re bound to get more marketing for the big movies. Perhaps the biggest of all is Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The next superhero film stars Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper (his voice at least), Zoe Saldana, and Dave Batista (Riddick). Each of these stars got their own poster (below), so check them out before James Gunn’s (Super) movie releases on August 1st. (Source: Fandango)
Dumb and Dumber To is another huge release this year. This one comes out much later (November 14th) but the first teaser poster is available above! As you can tell, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels reprise their respective roles and the Farrelly Brothers return as directors. To say I am excited is an understatement. (Source: Today)
I’d also check out the two posters for Transformers: Age of Extinction above. Michael Bay’s fourth Transformers pic switches it up with Mark Wahlberg as star, but the most exciting part (for action nerds at least) is what we’re seeing from the Transformers themselves. The two posters are no different as we get another Dino-Transformer as well as a fiery one. Age of Extinction releases June 27th. (Source: Cinema Blend)
We also had a poster sent over from Disney about their upcoming superhero pic, Big Hero 6. I’m interested in this project because it’ll finally bring Disney and Marvel together for the first time since they merged. This project is still coming together with T.J. Miller (HBO’s Silicon Valley), Maya Rudolph (Bridesmaids), and Jamie Chung (Grown Ups) being the only announced names so far. Don Hall and Chris Williams co-directed the pic that is set to release November 7th.
Following the first trailer and photos, I’ve rounded out the first looks with Paddington’s debut poster. Available above, it pretty much only shows the iconic fictional bear (who will be voiced by Colin Firth). Nicole Kidman and Hugh Bonneville (Notting Hill) also voice star in Paul King’s (Bunny and the Bull) film that should release December 25th. (Source: Sky Movies)
I lauded over Birdman yesterday with its first trailer, so you can expect the same from me here. Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s (21 Grams) comedy (which, knowing Inarritu, sounds like an oxymoron) stars Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Edward Norton, and Zach Galifianakis. Check out the cool poster above and see the movie starting October 17th.
Today’s final poster is for The Interview – a movie that stars Seth Rogen and James Franco. I think the team of directors (Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who did This is the End) is the most exciting part of this movie. I don’t quite know what to make of the movie yet, but I am excited for October 10th when it releases. (Source: Comingsoon)
See you back tomorrow for the latest movie stills.
