Photo Mania: Jurassic World, Dumb and Dumber To, Guardians of the Galaxy, and More
Today features a wide variety of different movies with a wide variety of pictures. More specifically, after yesterday’s trailers and posters, today’s Photo Mania completes the trifecta for Dumber and Dumber To. Today’s post also piggybacks on yesterday’s posters for Guardians of the Galaxy and The Interview. I’ve also included the first photos for Jurassic World, Legend, and Descendants while also featuring a gallery for Boyhood.
Check them all out below!
The first three images came online for Jurassic World and had me super excited. Chris Pratt is undoubtedly Hollywood’s “in” guy and he is featured above (and below in the gallery). So far we don’t have any of the dinosaurs, but that’ll change real soon. Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) directs the pic that’ll come out in about a year (on June 12, 2015). (Source: AV Club)
Along with a new trailer and poster, I’ve found five new photos for Dumb and Dumber To. Like the others, it features the two main cast members – Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels – reprising their roles. The Farrelly Brothers return as directors with the comedy sequel set to come out November 14th. (Source: Dumblr)
Just one new photo came out for Guardians of the Galaxy (check out yesterday’s character posters if you want more from this film). This photo shows off Djimon Hounsou (Blood Diamond), but the entire movie has a cast that also includes (speaking of) Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana (Avatar), Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper’s voice. James Gunn (Super) directs Marvel’s next film that releases August 1st. (Source: Comingsoon)
Richard Linklater’s (Before Midnight) latest film, Boyhood, is a doozy. The production took place over 12 years and has been all the rage so far this year. It mopped up recently at the Seattle International Film Festival, and I am excited to see it when it releases (on July 11th). The pictures below show some of that time gap from beginning to end, so I’d check them out if I was you. As you can see, it most notably stars Ethan Hawke. (Source: Collider)
With yesterday’s first poster came three images for Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s (This is the End) comedy, The Interview. Rogen stars alongside James Franco and Lizzy Caplan (Hot Tub Time Machine) with a theatrical date set for October 10th. (Source: Collider)
I’ve also attached the first photo for Legend – another film starring Tom Hardy. Hardy is a little lonely right now, though, because he is still the only announced castmember. This could be because he is playing twins. Filming just started, so we can expect more from this project soon. Brian Helgeland (42) is directing this one and it’ll get a release date later on. Well, this is kind of a weird one. Descendants is technically a TV movie, but I wanted to show off the first image that came online. The cool thing about this project (and the photo) is that it features all the descendants of the Disney villains that can’t die (because, you know, it’s Disney). Check out Kenny Ortega’s (Hocus Pocus) Disney original film sometime next year. (Source: /Film)
