Clip Mania: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Transformers: Age of Extinction, and More
In today’s Clip Mania, I’ll treat you to the first two clips for the upcoming blockbuster Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. However, some of you may be more excited for Transformers: Age of Extinction (another blockbuster set to release soon). Below, you can also find clips for Earth to Echo, Planes: Fire & Rescue, and What If, along with clips for two movies that release today (Think Like a Man Too and Third Person).
If you missed out on this week’s trailers, posters, photos, and news breaks, follow the links.
Matt Reeves’ (Cloverfield) Dawn of the Planet of the Apes waited a long time to release clips but we finally got them this week. Both clips are above. This Planet of the Apes film brings in Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), Gary Oldman, and Keri Russell to join Andy Serkis (who “plays” Caesar). Check this film out July 11th.
Michael Bay’s fourth Transformers: Age of Extinction is just a week away, so I’ve got another clip to show you. It features Kelsey Grammer alongside Mark Wahlberg and Stanley Tucci. However, most people probably care the most about the bots (or, in this case, Dinobots) which are nowhere to be found in the clip. You’ll have to wait until June 27th to see it all.
Releasing today is Think Like a Man Too. Releasing this past week was a new clip for Tim Story’s sequel. Think Like a Man Too returns just about everyone (including Kevin Hart, Regina Hall, and Michael Ealy) and looks to be a good time. Check out the clip above!
I’ve also included yet another clip for the sci-fi adventure Earth to Echo. Dave Green directs the film that features a bunch of newcomers (Teo Halm, Brian Bradley, and Reese Hartwig). This one doesn’t release until July 2nd, so you have a little bit of wait but not too much.
Disney’s Planes sequel (which is a spin-off of Cars) unveiled two clips as well. Titled Planes: Fire & Rescue, the movie returns Dane Cook and Stacy Keach’s voices. Julie Bowen (Horrible Bosses) was added to the cast that’ll release its movie July 18th. Roberts Gannaway directed this one.
Above is a clip for What If, too. This one might be known to some as The F Word, but the title was recently changed. Either way, it stars Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan (Ruby Sparks). I’d check out the clip before Michael Dowse’s (Goon) rom-com hits theaters August 8th.
The final clip – one for Third Person – is also for a movie that releases today. James Franco, Mila Kunis, and Liam Neeson are a few of the names involved in this project. If you’re on the fence about Paul Haggis’ (Crash) interweaving drama, maybe the clip above will sway your opinion.
Have a fantastic weekend!
