Clip Mania: Transformers: Age of Extinction, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and More
Much like last week, the two headlining movies in this week’s Clip Mania are the blockbusters Transformers: Age of Extinction and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The other five movies featured are Tammy, Deliver Us From Evil, Planes: Fire & Rescue, Wish I Was Here, and Mood Indigo. Each film (minus Transformers) featured today releases in July, so this is a very good preview of what is just around the corner!
Check out this week’s trailers, posters, photos, and new releases if you missed them.
Michael Bay’s fourth Transformers film (titled Transformers: Age of Extinction) comes out today (technically you could’ve seen it last night). If you want to see another clip from the movie, check it out above. If not, go ahead and see the movie today that stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, and more.
After Age of Extinction is Matt Reeve’s (Cloverfield) Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. This pic brings in Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), and Keri Russell to join Andy Serkis. Go ahead and watch the clip above and see the whole movie on July 11th.
Ben Falcone’s directorial debut, Tammy, also released a clip this past week. Melissa McCarthy (one of Hollywood’s hottest comedy actresses) will play Tammy in the film about a woman that loses pretty much everything and goes on a road trip with her grandmother (Susan Sarandon). This film hits theaters between Transformers and Planet of the Apes on July 2nd.
Deliver Us From Evil, Scott Derrickson’s (Sinister) horror movie, will flank Tammy on July 2nd. In anticipation for its release, three new clips landed online. Check them out above; they star Olivia Munn (Magic Mike) and Eric Bana (Black Hawk Down).
Shifting to something a little more light-hearted, I have a new clip for Disney’s Planes: Fire & Rescue. Dane Cook will return his voice to the project that’ll also feature Julie Bowen’s (Horrible Bosses) voice. Roberts Gannaway’s film flies into theaters a week after Planet of the Apes on July 18th.
Joining the Planes sequel on July 18th is Zach Braff’s (Garden State) Kickstarter-funded comedy-drama Wish I Was Here. Besides Braff, the film stars Kate Hudson (Almost Famous), Joey King (Ramona and Beezus), and Mandy Patinkin (Showtime’s Homeland). Check out the latest clip above.
The final clip belongs to Michel Gondry’s (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) latest film, Mood Indigo. The French film stars Romain Duris (The Beat That My Heart Skipped) and Audrey Tautou (Amelie). I’m interested in this movie (because of Gondry’s filmography), and if you are, too, I’d watch the video above. Mood Indigo also releases on July 18th in the U.S.
Have a great weekend!
