Poster Mania: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fury, Foxcatcher, and More
In today’s version of Poster Mania, I’ll have exciting posters for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Fury, Foxcatcher, The Giver, Life After Beth, Good People, and The Congress. If you want more of TMNT, Fury, and/or Good People, check out yesterday’s Trailer Round-Up as well.
If not, scroll to find all the newest posters.
Four new character posters released for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Like I mentioned in yesterday’s Trailer Round-Up, I’m not exactly counting down the days until this one releases. I was a huge fan of the TV show growing up, but I’m not sold yet on the Michael Bay-produced film. Johnathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) directs the movie that stars Megan Fox and Will Arnett. TMNT releases on August 8th. (Source: Comingsoon)
Also following yesterday’s Trailer Round-Up is the debut poster for Fury. David Ayer (End of Watch) is in charge of this film that stars Shia LaBeouf and Michael Pena (Shooter). The real draw for the WWII film comes by the way of Brad Pitt (who is alone on the first poster). Check it out above and watch the movie on November 14th. (Source: Yahoo)
My favorite poster of the week goes to Bennett Miller’s (Moneyball) Foxcatcher. Not only do all signs point to this movie being a winner (star Steve Carell has been gaining a lot of attention for his performance), but the poster above, which features Channing Tatum, looks pretty cool. Watch for the movie come November 14th as well. (Source: People)
A new poster for The Giver also made its way over to us. I’ve included the poster because I want to champion the movie. The Giver is based on a book (by Lois Lowry) and has a lot of cinematic potential. We’ll see for sure on August 15th when Phillip Noyce’s (Salt) film releases. As you can see, the movie stars Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, and Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent).
Two posters came online for Jeff Baena’s zombie comedy as well. The posters feature the two main characters, played by Aubrey Plaza (Safety Not Guaranteed) and Dane DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2). Zombies are the “in” thing right now, so I’m curious how this film will try to change it up. We’ll see on August 15th. (Source: Facebook)
Going along with yesterday’s trailer, I have a poster above for Good People. James Franco and Kate Hudson (Almost Famous) headline this thriller (directed by Henrik Ruben Genz) that should release September 26th. Go ahead and check out the poster.
To finish this week’s Poster Mania off, I included a new poster for The Congress. This one stars Robin Wright (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), Jon Hamm (AMC’s Mad Men), and Paul Giamatti (The Amazing Spider-Man 2). Ari Folman (Waltz with Bashir) directed the pic that’ll make it to theaters July 24th. (Source: Collider)
