Photo Mania: Jurassic World, Fury, The Giver, and More
In this Wednesday’s version of Photo Mania, I’ll continue the trend of a few movies (check here) that showed up in yesterday’s Photo Mania. These movies include Fury, The Giver, and The Congress. For some new blood today (no pun intended), I have a new photo from Jurassic World as well as galleries for Magic in the Moonlight and The Guest. Also, you’ll see the debut photo for Beasts of No Nation today.
All of the photos are below along with information about the films!
A bloody handprint photo can be seen for next year’s Jurassic World (the movie officially comes out on June 12, 2015). Colin Trevorrow’s (Safety Not Guaranteed) film will get a lot more marketing in the coming months but this will do for now. The photo above doesn’t feature some of the talent, like Chris Pratt or Bryce Dallas Howard (Spider-Man 3), but it is something cool at least. (Source: Twitter)
Completing the Film Equals trifecta (trailer, poster, and now photos) is David Ayer’s (End of Watch) Fury. All three photos can be seen below that most prominently feature star Brad Pitt. However, the movie also stars Shia LaBeouf and Michael Pena (Shooter). Check out the three photos in full below before the movie comes out November 14th. (Source: Collider)
The biggest gallery of the week goes to Phillip Noyce’s (Salt) The Giver adaptation. Although the movie is still not out until August 15th, at least we’re getting more for this film. Up to this point, it seems like this has been a fairly low-key movie (at least in terms of marketing). The Giver stars Jeff Bridges, Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes, Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent) and even Taylor Swift. Check out the gallery below.
I’ve also included a gallery for Woody Allen’s (Blue Jasmine) next film, Magic in the Moonlight. This one, which comes out very soon on July 25th, stars Emma Stone, Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook). I’m a huge fan of Allen’s work, so I can’t wait for later this month. Head to the full gallery below. (Source: Collider)
The first image for Beasts of No Nation is one of the more exciting ones this week. The war drama most notably stars Idris Elba (Pacific Rim) who is shown above. Cary Fukunaga (HBO’s True Detective) is in charge of the movie, and I’m excited to see what he has to offer. Look for a trailer soon as the film gets closer to a release; although a release date isn’t known quite yet. (Source: IndieWire)
To go along with yesterday’s poster are seven photos for The Congress. For those that don’t know, The Congress stars Robin Wright (Netflix’s House of Cards), Jon Hamm (AMC’s Mad Men), and Paul Giamatti (Win Win). Ari Folman’s (Waltz With Bashir) sci-fi film is due out July 24th.
Lastly, there are five photos for The Guest. Part of why I like doing these posts is I get to champion films people may not know much about. The Guest most likely fits this bill as it stars Ethan Embry (Eagle Eye) and Candice Patton (CBS’s The Young and the Restless), both of which aren’t exactly household names. Adam Wingard’s (V/H/S) thriller doesn’t have a U.S. release date yet. We’ll keep you posted. (Source: IMDb)
