Photo Mania: Interstellar, Jurassic World, Gone Girl, and More
After Monday’s trailers and yesterday’s posters, today continues the trend for Interstellar, Gone Girl, and Into the Woods. Besides those hyped releases, you can also find new photos for Jurassic World, Fifty Shades of Grey, Mad Max: Fury Road, and the TIFF competitor Big Game.
Each photo (and gallery) is below!
Going along with Monday’s trailer, a bunch of new photos made their way online for Christopher Nolan’s (The Dark Knight Rises) Interstellar. I’m beyond excited for this pic; however, we’ll have to wait until November 7th to get this sci-fi epic. As you can see by the gallery below, the movie stars Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, and Anne Hathaway. (Source: Collider)
When Guardians of the Galaxy released last Friday, Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) was already looking ahead to next year’s release of Jurassic World. Trevorrow showed off a picture of rising star Chris Pratt (who had a magnificent performance in Guardians of the Galaxy). Jurassic World is also set to star Bryce Dallas Howard (As You Like It) and should release on June 12, 2015. (Source: Twitter)
Along with yesterday’s poster came a new photo for David Fincher’s (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) Gone Girl. Fincher’s next film is an adaptation of the critically-acclaimed novel of the same name (by Gillian Flynn) and stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike (Die Another Day), and Neil Patrick Harris (CBS’ How I Met Your Mother). Check out the full movie October 3rd. (Source: FilmTV)
We’ll have to look even further into the future for the next two photos. Last week, two new photos surfaced online for the steamy Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation. Sam Taylor-Johnson’s (Nowhere Boy) erotic romance film hits theaters February 13, 2015 and will feature Dakota Johnson (The Social Network) and Jamie Dornan (ABC’s Once Upon a Time). Check out the two photos above…although they don’t really seem to tell us much. (Source: Collider)
We go from erotic romance to Disney musical with the gallery below. Disney sent over four new photos for Into the Woods following the new trailer. This star-studded affair features everyone from Meryl Streep to Johnny Depp (with plenty in between). Rob Marshall (Chicago) is in charge of direction with a December 25th release date.
Ever since Comic-Con, Mad Max: Fury Road has been on quite the hotstreak. Today it continues with three movie photos. The movie brings in Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, and Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Days of Future Past) for what looks like quite the ride. George Miller will again direct and the movie should release May 15, 2015. (Source: IndieWire)
Finally, I wanted to include the gallery below for Big Game. Of all the movies featured today, this one may be the one you’ve heard the least about (if anything at all). Jalmari Helander’s (Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale) action film tells the story of a camper that helps save the President of the United States (played by Samuel L. Jackson) after he is shot down. If you want to see some stills, they are below. As of now, there isn’t a theatrical release date, but Big Game will play at TIFF’s Midnight Madness. (Source: TIFF)
