Clip Mania: The Maze Runner, A Walk Among the Tombstones, and More
Ahead of the long weekend, I’d like to give you a chance to see a couple new clips for upcoming movies. Incidentally, the bulk of the movies release on September 19th (The Maze Runner, A Walk Among Tombstones, Hector and the Search for Happiness, and Pride). However, two of the movies featured today (The Prince and The Possession of Michael King) already technically released while Cantinflas gives us our Labor Day weekend fix.
Check out all the clips below!
With its release seemingly just around the corner (yes, it comes out September 19th), The Maze Runner released another clip. The YA adaptation, directed by Wes Ball, stars Dylan O’Brien (High Road) and Will Poulter (We’re the Millers) when it does release. The clip above shows off an integral part of the trailer (and reminds me a bit of Inception) so I’d suggest checking it out.
Scott Frank’s (The Lookout) A Walk Among the Tombstones takes the prize for quantity this week as three new clips came out. The action film most notably stars Liam Neeson (who is channeling a bit of himself from Taken). Make sure to watch all three before the movie releases on September 19th as well. By the way, also like The Maze Runner, this is an adaptation of a novel.
From Liam Neeson to Bruce Willis, I also found a new clip for The Prince. Willis is joined by John Cusack and 50 Cent with Brian A. Miller directing. If you were like me and didn’t know a lot about this movie, the clip above could help you out a bit! The Prince released already on August 22nd but I’m guessing the movie will be expanding to a theater near you soon.
Hector and the Search for Happiness is yet another September 19th releaser with a new clip. Simon Pegg (The World’s End) toplines the movie that also stars Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense) and Rosamund Pike (also of The World’s End). Check out the clip for Peter Chelsom’s (Serendipity) rom-com now.
Matthew Warchus’ drama Pride also showed off a new clip. I didn’t know a whole lot about this movie but I am excited to see a cast that includes Bill Nighy (Love Actually) and Dominic West (HBO’s The Wire). I bet you can’t guess Pride‘s release date? Yup, you got it: September 19th.
The Possession of Michael King also released last weekend but is poised to expand (or at least pick up steam). The horror film released a new clip that hopefully gets people to see the movie. For those that don’t know, Michael King is directed by David Jung (his directorial debut) and stars Shane Johnson (Saving Private Ryan) and Ella Anderson (Touchback).
The lone release this weekend, Cantinflas, also uploaded a new clip online. Sebastian del Amo’s (El fantástico mundo de Juan Orol) foreign film enlists the help of Oscar Jaenada (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) and Michael Imperioli (The Lovely Bones). Check out the clip now or the entire movie in limited release.
Have a great weekend! Come back Monday for some new trailers.
