Poster Mania: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Foxcatcher, and More
Following yesterday’s trailers, I’ve doubled-up with new posters for Foxcatcher, Seventh Son, and Rosewater. I also included a set of rebel posters for the hotly-anticipated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and singular posters for Paddington, Jimi: All Is By My Side, and The Judge.
All the posters are viewable below as well as a little information regarding each film.
Six new rebel posters for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 headline today’s post. They don’t feature Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) but we do get a cool look at some of her counterparts, including Gale (Liam Hemsworth). Look for another trailer soon as Mockingjay – Part 1 comes out November 21st. It is again directed by Francis Lawrence.
With yesterday’s new trailer came another poster for Foxcatcher. This one features star Steve Carell in what’s been described as an amazing performance. I’m looking forward to Bennett Miller’s (Moneyball) next film that releases November 14th.
Paul King’s (Bunny and the Bull) comedy Paddington also released a new poster. It’ll hit theaters December 25th of this year and voice star Ben Whiskaw (Skyfall) as the fictional bear. Check out the poster above! (Source: Fandango)
Like Foxcatcher, a poster released alongside Seventh Son’s newest trailer yesterday. The film adaptation is directed by Sergei Bodrov (Mongol) with Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore (Children of Men) starring. The fantasy flick comes out February 6, 2015. (Source: Screen Rant)
I also have a poster to show off for John Ridley’s (Cold Around the Heart) Jimi Hendrix biopic. Titled Jimi: All Is By My Side, it stars Andre 3000 (Semi-Pro), Hayley Atwell (Captain America: The First Avenger), and Imogen Poots (Need for Speed). The poster is above and the movie releases September 26th. (Source: IMP Awards)
Next up is Rosewater (which released a trailer yesterday, too) and its debut poster. Rosewater is noteworthy because it marks Jon Stewart’s directorial debut. The drama stars Gael Garcia Bernal (Amores Perros) as a tortured journalist. We’ll see this movie starting November 7th. (Source: Huffington Post)
Last but not least is a new poster for the Robert Downey, Jr.-starring film The Judge. We’re used to seeing Downey, Jr. in an Iron Man suit but he’s switched that suit out for a more traditional one in the comedy-drama that releases October 10th. David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) directed the movie and it’ll also star Robert Duvall (Get Low), Vera Farmiga (The Departed), and Billy Bob Thorton. The latest poster is above. (Source: Twitter)
