Clip Mania: Big Hero 6, The Equalizer, The Identical, and More
Happy Friday everyone! This weekend’s releases may not be all that exciting (although I do have a clip for the one wide release, The Identical) so perhaps you should just check out today’s clips instead. Some big movies, like Big Hero 6 and The Equalizer, are featured below. Alongside them, you can find The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby, No Good Deed, The Riot Club, and The Sound and the Fury.
Check all the clips out below!
Disney and Marvel’s first collaboration – Big Hero 6 – doesn’t release until November 7th. However, that doesn’t mean you have to wait to see a scene from the movie. Don Hall and Chris Williams’ superhero comedy voice stars Ryan Potter (Nickelodeon’s Supah Ninjas) and Scott Adsit (NBC’s 30 Rock). Check it out above.
Antoine Fuqua’s (Training Day) next team-up with Denzel Washington, The Equalizer, also released a new clip. Washington is joined by Chloe Grace Moretz in the film adaptation of the popular TV show. Make sure to watch the clip before the movie comes out in wide release on September 26th.
Like most weeks, I wanted to champion a movie that is coming out this weekend. Today that means I have a new clip for The Identical. This weekend’s lone wide release stars Ray Liotta (Field of Dreams) and Ashley Judd (Divergent) but they’ll probably be overshadowed by newcomer Blake Rayne’s duel role. Watch the new clip above or go see the movie starting today.
The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby is our only movie with more than one clip. The collective film (which is technically releasing as three different movies) has quite the premise and quite the cast (James McAvoy and Jessica Chastain headline it). Make sure to watch both clips before Ned Benson’s film releases next weekend on September 12th.
Sam Miller’s (BBC’s Luther), which also comes out next weekend on September 12th, came out with a new clip, too. The thriller stars Idris Elba (also of BBC’s Luther) alongside Taraji P. Henson (CBS’s Person of Interest). I can’t say I’m that excited for the movie but the clip could help if you’re on the fence.
Next up is a clip I found for The Riot Club. Lone Scherfig’s (An Education) British drama-thriller stars Max Irons (The Host), Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), and Powers Boothe (Sin City: A Dame to Kill For). The film (which is actually based on a play) plays at the Toronto International Film Festival soon and is still waiting on a U.S. playdate.
A new clip for James Franco’s (As I Lay Dying) William Faulkner-adaptation The Sound and the Fury finishes us out. The new clip gives us a look at the movie that stars Franco, Seth Rogen, and Joey King (The Conjuring). The Sound and the Fury is also awaiting a release date so the clip will have to do for now.
Have a great weekend!
