Photo Mania: The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, Tomorrowland, and More
Welcome to another Photo Mania. Today’s post – while not being as star-studded as yesterday’s – features some pretty exciting movies. Any day where we have new The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 photos is pretty exciting, right? On top of that, I have news ones for Tomorrowland, Focus, Nightcrawler, Paddington, and two ones you probably haven’t heard of – A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night and Goodbye to Language.
Make sure to check out all the photos below!
The first photos I have are for the movie The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. To go along with the recent Instagram photos, I found a couple more looks at some of the returning characters (played by Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, and Woody Harrelson). Francis Lawrence again directed the sequel – which unfortunately hasn’t shown off very much of the action so far – that’ll hit theaters November 21st. Check out all three photos below. To complete the famed Film Equals trifecta (check out this week’s trailer and poster if you missed them), I’ve included two photos for Brad Bird’s (Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol) film Tomorrowland. Disney’s film (which won’t release until May 22, 2015) stars George Clooney (among others). Unfortunately, our first look at the movie doesn’t give us too much on him (although you can see him a little bit). Expect more on this pic in the coming months! (Source: /Film)
Another repeating movie from this week is the rom-com Focus. This one stars Will Smith and Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street). The plot focuses on a con-man (Smith) that falls for an attractive lady (Robbie) and the fallout of their relationship. The pictures don’t give us a lot about the movie. However, for that you can look at the first trailer. Glenn Ficarra and John Requa co-direct the movie that is due out February 27, 2015. (Source: USA Today)
I also have a gallery of new photos for Nightcrawler. The crime thriller stars a skinny Jake Gyllenhaal and looks to be a pretty interesting (and probably creepy) movie. It make sense this movie, which is Dan Gilroy’s directorial debut, hits theaters Halloween (October 31st). Check out all the photos below! (Source: Flickering Myth)
Next up is a batch of new images for the live-action film about the Paddington bear. Aptly titled Paddington, the movie voice stars Ben Whishaw (Skyfall) as the iconic bear while also featuring Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine) and Hugh Bonneville (ITV’s Downton Abbey). Paul King’s (Bunny and the Bull) latest releases December 25th. (Source: Collider)
Although it’s not set to come out until November 21st, a spin-off comic was announced for the horror film A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. With it came a creepy new photo for the horror movie. Written and directed by Ana Lily Amirpour (in her directorial debut), the film follows a lonely vampire living in a ghost town. This one stars Sheila Vand (Argo) and newcomer Arash Marandi. Goodbye to Language may be another movie you haven’t heard that much about. Above you can find a new picture for the movie that sounds like an absolute trip. Just know it is some form of visual and thematic assault on your senses. The picture above may not do it justice, so if you’d like to see Jean-Luc Godard’s (Breathless) Cannes winner, look for it on October 29th. It stars Heloise Godet (Girl on a Bicycle) and Kamel Abdeli (Dijhad!). (Source: IndieWire)
