Photo Mania: Furious 7, Foxcatcher, The Imitation Game, and More
After Monday’s trailers and yesterday’s posters, today will focus on new movie stills. Besides Furious 7, the other six movies featured today are new for the week. They include some bigger releases – like Foxcatcher, The Imitation Game, and Paddington – as well as smaller ones – like Eye in the Sky, Colonia, and Feed the Gods.
Check out each photo below!
To go along with yesterday’s poster and banner, I thought it’d be appropriate to show off some of the first stills for the newly-retitled Furious 7. The most notable picture shows off the late Paul Walker who tragically died earlier this year. James Wan’s (The Conjuring) film also stars Vin Diesel (who is in the other photo), Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and more. Check out the film on April 3, 2015. I’d expect a debut trailer soon. Foxcatcher, a movie that releases already November 14th, also released some new photos online. There are four below that capture a little bit of the intensity that Bennett Miller’s (Moneyball) drama promises. The true story stars Steve Carell and Channing Tatum. I’d suggest checking the movie out when it releases! (Source: USA Today)
There’s also a gallery for Morten Tyldum’s (Headhunters) upcoming biopic The Imitation Game. The Alan Turing biopic stars Benedict Cumberbatch – and he’s obviously featured primarily in the photos – with a release date set for November 7th. Personally, I could see this movie making quite the awards push coming down the stretch. We’ll see soon! (Source: IndieWire)
Next up is the sort of animated, sort of not Paddington film. Paul King (Bunny and the Bull) directed the pic that stars Hugh Bonneville (Notting Hill), Sally Hawkins (Blue Jasmine), and Ben Whishaw’s (Skyfall) voice. Check out the photos below before seeing the movie on January 16, 2015. (Source: IndieWire)
I’ve also attached the first two looks at Eye in the Sky starring Helen Mirren (Hitchcock) and Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips). Besides those two, Gavin Hood’s (Ender’s Game) war drama stars Aaron Paul (AMC’s Breaking Bad) and Alan Rickman (Harry Potter). As of now, Eye in the Sky doesn’t have a specific 2015 release date. Speaking of first looks, the photo above is our first real look at Colonia. For those that don’t know, this one follows a couple during a coup in Chile back in the 1980’s. The photo above shows stars Michael Nyqvist (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) and Emma Watson. Florian Gallenberger’s (Shadows of Time) movie releases sometime next year as well. (Source: Deadline)
Finally, check out the final gallery for the horror flick Feed the Gods. Braden Croft’s (Hemorrhage) movie has an unknown cast, including Erica Carroll (Apollo 18) and Shawn Roberts (X-Men), but does have a bunch of photos to show off. If you want to see the movie, you’ll have to wait for an official release date. (Source: JoBlo)
