Trailer Round-Up: Cinderella, Pitch Perfect 2, The Peanuts Movie, and More
Happy Monday folks! Today’s Trailer Round-Up (which stars every week off), I’ve got some pretty exciting debut full-length trailers. Cinderella, Pitch Perfect 2, and The Peanuts Movie all start us off with new looks. Then I’ll get into new trailers for Seventh Son, The Wedding Ringer, The Color of Time, and The Woman in Black: Angel of Death.
Check out each trailer below.
Kenneth Branagh’s (Thor) live-action Cinderella adaptation is one of next year’s most anticipated films (which is saying a lot given the huge slate of movies set to debut). This version of Cinderella stars Lily James (Wrath of the Titans), Richard Madden (HBO’s Game of Thrones), and Cate Blanchett. Check back this week for posters and photos before this movie debuts on March 13, 2015. And, of course, check out the full-length trailer above.
Speaking of anticipated movies, Pitch Perfect 2 will undoubtedly generate some awesome box office numbers when it debuts on May 15, 2015. Directed by star Elizabeth Banks, the movie also returns Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, Adam DeVine, and more. Check out the debut trailer above!
To go along with last week’s photos, I’ve also attached the latest trailer from The Peanuts Movie. Steve Martino (Ice Age: Continental Drift) directs the film with Bill Melendez credited as Snoopy thanks to archival recordings. We’ll undoubtedly know more between now and November 6, 2015 when the film releases.
I’ve also got an international trailer for Seventh Son starring Jeff Bridges. Sergei Bodrov (Mongol) also directs Julianne Moore and Ben Barnes (The Chronicles of Narnia) in the adaptation that’ll hit theaters on February 6, 2015. The newest trailer is also above.
The only red-band trailer of the week belongs to the comedy The Wedding Ringer. To me, the film looks like a bit of a rip-off of the film I Love You, Man (which I loved). Directed by Jeremy Garelick, the movie does star red-hot actor Josh Gad (Frozen) alongside Kevin Hart. The Wedding Ringer releases January 16, 2015 and the new trailer is above.
Before today, I didn’t know a whole lot about The Color of Time. However, when I started looking more into it, I found out some really interesting pieces of information. For one, the movie was directed by 12 different New York University film students. It’s pretty cool they got to work with talented actors like James Franco, Jessica Chastain, and Mila Kunis. Formerly titled Tar, the film is now going by a different name and set to hit theaters on January 1, 2015. Check out the trailer if you’re interested.
The Woman in Black: Angel of Death finishes off today’s Trailer Round-Up. Above you can see the newest trailer for the horror-thriller. Tom Harper’s (Peaky Blinders) latest stars Helen McCrory (Skyfall) and Jeremy Irvine (The Railway Man). The trailer is above for the film that’ll hit theaters January 2, 2015.
Come back tomorrow for some new movie posters!
