Photo Mania: Cinderella, Pitch Perfect 2, Home, and More
Hello everyone and welcome to this week’s Photo Mania (which always follows trailers and posters). Today, I’ll continue on with movies like Cinderella and Pitch Perfect 2 before getting to some others. Those “others” include Home, Danny Collins, Green Room, Strange Magic, and The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death.
Check out all the photos below as well as information on the director, stars, and each movie’s release date.
To complete the Film Equals trifecta, I’ve included a gallery of new photos for Cinderella. The live-action film, which will be directed by Kenneth Branagh (Thor), will hit theaters on March 13, 2015 and stars Lily Collins (Wrath of the Titans) as the title character. To get a look at the film (especially the cool costumes), check out the gallery below. Also, check out the first full-length trailer and poster. (Source: Comingsoon)
Pitch Perfect 2 also followed up its first trailer and poster with new photos. The sequel brings back a lot of the talent (seen in the photos below) including Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, and Elizabeth Banks (who will direct the movie). Check out the photos below before the movie debuts on May 15, 2015. (Source: IndieWire)
Next up is the animated film Home. Tim Johnson’s (Antz) next film voice stars singer Rihanna and CBS’ Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons. The movie will debut on March 27, 2015, so you can check out the first photo above. (Source: Yahoo)
Dan Fogelman’s directorial debut, Danny Collins, also unveiled new photos this week. The comedy drama will follow Al Pacino as the title character but he’s not the only one involved in the movie. In fact, the rest of the cast includes Jennifer Garner (Juno), Annette Bening (The Kids Are All Right), and Christopher Plummer (Beginners). Look for this film come March 20, 2015. (Source: Collider)
Green Room also released its first official look at the Jeremy Saulnier’s (Blue Ruin) latest. Patrick Stewart is partly known for his role as Professor Xavier – a symbol for equality. This makes his latest role, a white supremacist, quite a shock. We’ll update you on a release date when we get it. Until then, enjoy the picture above. (Source: /Film)
Disney’s Strange Magic seemingly came out of nowhere. Some people were hopeful this project involved Frozen but it turns out Strange Magic was referring to a movie that’ll release already on my birthday – January 23, 2015. The animated film is directed by Gary Rydstrom and voice stars Evan Rachel Wood (The Ides of March). Four photos are above for you. (Source: Collider)
From Disney to horror…no better transition, right? In this case, I’ve attached a few new looks at The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death. Directed this time by Tom Harper (War Book), the movie stars Helen McCrory (Skyfall) and Jeremy Irvine (War Horse). Look for the sequel on January 2, 2015. (Source: Horror-Movies.ca)
Have a great Thanksgiving!
