Poster Mania: Pan, Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Peanuts Movie, and More
Hello everyone and welcome to the latest Poster Mania! Today you can expect plenty of character posters (Pan, Kingsman: The Secret Service, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water). Besides those, be on the lookout for new poster(s) for The Peanuts Movie, A Most Violent Year, Unfinished Business, and, lastly, Far From the Madding Crowd.
Also, make sure to check out yesterday’s trailers!
To go along with yesterday’s trailer, I’ve included the first character posters for Joe Wright’s (Pride & Prejudice) Pan adaptation. To me, the best poster is the one for the almost unrecognizable Hugh Jackman. Besides him, the posters feature stars Rooney Mara, Garrett Hudlund (On the Road), and newcomer Levi Miller (who will play Peter Pan himself). All four posters are below and the movie comes out July 17, 2015. (Source: IndieWire)
I’ve also got four character posters for Kingsman: The Secret Service! Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class) is in charge of this one and he’s enlisted the help of some pretty awesome actors. This list includes Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael Caine, and Mark Hamill. The posters above don’t focus on the talent; instead, they deliberately nod to some 007 posters. Check the spy film starting February 13, 2015. (Source: IMDb)
Next up is Steve Martino’s (Ice Age: Continental Drift) latest animated film The Peanuts Movie. Even though the movie is not set to debut until November 6, 2015, new posters seem to keep popping up online. The latest is an iconic nod to Snoopy (who will again be voiced by Bill Melendez through archival recordings). The rest of the voice cast includes a bunch of names you probably haven’t heard of, like Noah Schnapp and Hadley Belle Miller. (Source: ScreenRant)
Back to character posters we go with yet another animated film. Four new character posters debuted for Paul Tibbitt’s The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. While I probably won’t be seeing this movie, I can see how a SpongeBob film would be a lucrative endeavor. The beloved cartoon character will hit theaters February 6, 2015. Until then, check out the new character posters below (which will be voiced by Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, and Mr. Lawrence in the actual movie). (Source: Comingsoon)
I couldn’t find a very good transition between a SpongeBob movie and J.C. Chandor’s (All is Lost) A Most Violent Year. Transition or not, a new poster did arrive for the upcoming crime drama. The poster continues its bleak color palette and shows off co-stars Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis) and Jessica Chastain. Check this movie out in limited release on December 31st. Also following yesterday’s trailers comes the first three posters for the film Unfinished Business. Ken Scott’s (Starbuck) latest comedy stars Vince Vaughn, Dave Franco, and Tom Wilkinson (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind). As you can tell by the posters (located in full below), the main characters get themselves into a bit of trouble on a European business trip. Unfinished Business will debut in the U.S. on March 6, 2015. (Source: IGN)
A new poster for Tom Vinterberg’s (The Hunt) Far From The Madding Crowd will finish us off today. The drama, which is set to come out on May 1, 2015, stars Carey Mulligan (Drive), Juno Temple (The Dark Knight Rises), and Michael Sheen. The logline doesn’t sound all that appealing to me (a woman in a relationship with three vastly different people) but I’m sure it’ll be better than it sounds given how much I loved Vinterberg’s last movie, The Hunt. Check out the poster above! (Source: Collider)
