Poster Mania: Spectre, Terminator Genisys, Cinderella, and More
To go along with the announcement of the 24th Bond film’s title (Spectre), the first teaser poster released. It’s a pretty simple poster (all it shows is an apparent gunshot hole in a window) but it’ll likely play into the film’s plot. Spectre stars Daniel Craig as Bond with Christoph Waltz set to play his villain. Sam Mendes will return as director and his latest is set to release October 23, 2015. (Source: /Film)
A teaser poster also debuted for Terminator Genisys. This one follows the debut of its first trailer. Not only does the latest Terminator film return Arnold Schwarzenegger but it enlists the help of Emilia Clarke (HBO’s Game of Thrones), Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), and Jai Courtney (Divergent). Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World) will direct the latest reboot, and it should release on July 1, 2015 barring any setbacks. The poster (which features Emilia Clarke’s character) is above. Three posters for Cinderella also follow up yesterday’s trailer. The posters show off a few of the characters with the title character (played by Lily James) being most prominent. Besides James, Richard Madden (HBO’s Game of Thrones) and Cate Blanchett co-star. Kenneth Branagh’s (Thor) Disney film comes out early next year on March 13, 2015. Check out all three posters in the gallery below. (Source: Empire)
Shifting back to this year, I’ve got a new poster for Tim Burton’s (Alice in Wonderland) Big Eyes adaptation. The biopic stars Amy Adams, the aforementioned Christoph Waltz, and Krysten Ritter (Veronica Mars). Check out the latest poster above and the whole movie starting December 25th. (Source: Collider)
Today’s only banner belongs to Paul Thomas Anderson’s (The Master) upcoming film titled Inherent Vice. I say “upcoming” because it literally debuts this coming weekend starting December 12th (in limited theaters unfortunately). Joaquin Phoenix, Josh Brolin, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, and more star in the adaptation of Thomas Pynchon’s novel. Check out the “Last Supper”-like banner above! (Source: IndieWire)
Going along with the first photo (and yesterday’s trailer), I’ve got the debut poster for Wild Card. Set to release next year (on January 30, 2015), the crime drama stars Jason Statham and is directed by Simon West (Con Air). The poster is above. (Source: Collider)
Unfinished Business will finish us out today with three new international character posters. The comedy is directed by Ken Scott (Starbuck) and stars Vince Vaughn, Tom Wilkinson, and Dave Franco. If you’re wanting to see this comedy, you’ll have to wait until March 6, 2015 for it to release. Check out each poster in full below. (Source: Comingsoon)
