Trailer Round-Up: The Gunman, Knock Knock, All the Wilderness, and More
Happy Monday folks. As we start the week off, I wanted to give you a look at all of last week’s (and this weekend’s) newest trailers. It isn’t as star-studded as some of the past ones (and no new Marvel trailers…for once). However, you don’t need blockbusters to get you excited about going to the movies. Below are the latest trailers for The Gunman, Knock, Knock, All the Wilderness, The Rewrite, Good Kill, It Follows, and She’s Funny That Way.
Each trailer is below with a little bit about each movie. Enjoy!
First up today is the Sean Penn-starring action thriller The Gunman. Last week, there was a new poster for the movie by Pierre Morel (Taken). Penn isn’t the only big name in the movie as he’ll be joined by Idris Elba (Pacific Rim) and Javier Bardem. Watch for this movie come March 20th.
Eli Roth’s (Hostel) horror thriller Knock, Knock debuted a new trailer with its Sundance debut. Keanu Reeves headlines this movie about a man’s life that is turn upside-down by two girls that show up at his house. The trailer gives a little more detail into the interesting movie. As of now, it doesn’t have a release date outside of Sundance.
Michael Johnson’s directorial debut All the Wilderness also uploaded a new trailer. I became interested in the trailer because it stars Danny DeVito who looks to have really aged. He’s joined onscreen by Isabelle Fuhrman (The Hunger Games) and Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road). The trailer is above and the movie comes out on February 20th. Come back tomorrow for a new poster, too.
I’ll switch up genres a bit with a new trailer for the rom-com The Rewrite. Marc Lawrence’s (Two Weeks Notice) film about a struggling screenwriter stars Hugh Grant, J.K. Simmons (Whiplash), Allison Janney (American Beauty), and Marisa Tomei (The Wrestler). As of now, The Rewrite doesn’t have a U.S. playdate but the trailer is viewable now. It’ll also debut a new poster tomorrow.
I’ve also got a new UK trailer for Good Kill. Andrew Niccol’s (The Host) latest stars Ethan Hawke and January Jones (AMC’s Mad Men). The thriller centers around a drone pilot that begins to question his job. Based on the trailer (and the premise), this could be an exciting movie whenever it releases. As of now, we don’t know when that’ll be, though.
It Follows brings us back around to the horror genre. David Robert Mitchell’s (The Myth of the American Sleepover) latest, which is set to release on March 27th, released a new trailer last week. It Follows stars Maika Monroe (The Guest).
And finishing us out today is the newest trailer for Peter Bogdanovich’s (The Thing Called Love) comedy-drama She’s Funny That Way. With a cast that includes Jennifer Aniston, Owen Wilson, Imogen Poots (Need for Speed), and even Quentin Tarantino, you wouldn’t be wrong to be excited for the movie. We’ll see if it’s any good on April 10th when it releases.
Come back tomorrow for some new posters!
