Clip Mania: Hot Tub Time Machine 2, Kingsman: The Secret Service, and More
Happy Friday everyone! As we wrap-up the work week, I thought I’d give you a bunch of new movie clips. These clips include movies already out, movies set to come out in the next three weeks, and some longer-term movies that are still looking for official release dates. In all, you can see clips from the following movies: Hot Tub Time Machine 2, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Project Almanac, Don Verdean, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, Veronika Decides to Die, and Fear Clinic.
Enjoy them all below!
First up today is a new clip for the upcoming comedy Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Steve Pink’s follow-up to the 2010 film again stars Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry but it also brings in Adam Scott (NBC’s Parks and Recreation) and Gillian Jacobs (NBC’s Community). I don’t know a whole lot about the first movie but I know it was a surprising hit. Therefore, it may be worth checking out the sequel on February 20th.
Out a week earlier than Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is Matthew Vaughn’s (X-Men: First Class) spy action-comedy Kingsman: The Secret Service. Colin Firth headlines the movie that’ll also star newcomer Taron Egerton alongside Michael Caine and Samuel L. Jackson. The latest clip is above and the movie comes out officially on February 13th.
One of this weekend’s two wide releases – Project Almanac – also uploaded three new clips (including an extended one). The time travel found footage film certainly has potential but I’m also skeptical on its quality. Dean Israelite directed the movie and it stars Jonny Weston (Chasing Mavericks) and Sofia Black D’Elia (ABC’s All My Children). Check out the clips above if you’re interested in seeing the movie this weekend.
Jared Hess’s (Napoleon Dynamite) next film, Don Verdean, also released a clip. This movie is particularly notable because it’s flown under the radar. With a cast that includes Sam Rockwell (Moon), Amy Ryan (Gone Baby Gone), Danny McBride (Hot Rod), and Will Forte (Nebraska), you wouldn’t be wrong to be excited about the movie. It just played at Sundance so you’ll have to wait to hear of an official release date. However, a clip is available above.
In case you were on your seat waiting for Paul Tibbitt’s (The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie) animated comedy The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water to release, I’ve included two new clips for you. Personally, I won’t be seeing this movie but SpongeBob fans can starting next weekend on February 6th. The regular voice cast is back and Antonio Banderas has also joined in on the fun.
Although it technically released already, I wanted to bring you a clip for the long-awaited film Veronika Decides to Die. The drama stars Sarah Michelle Geller along with Jonathan Tucker (The Ruins). If you’d like to see the full movie (and it really sounds like a doozy), Emily Young’s (Kiss of Life) latest released on the 20th.
Robert Hall’s (Laid to Rest) horror film Fear Clinic finishes out this week’s clips. I haven’t actually watched the clip because it’s apparently about spiders (my worst fear) but the premise in general seems pretty terrifying. Fear Clinic stars Thomas Dekker (Kaboom) and Robert Englund (Freddy vs. Jason) with an Internet release this weekend!
Have a great weekend. If you missed this week’s trailers, posters, photos, and news breaks, do check them out as well.
