Photo Mania: Spectre, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales
Happy Wednesday! Today, I’ve got some new movie photos but, I’ll be honest, I had to scrape the barrel to find seven movies to feature. As you’ll see, some of these are merely behind-the-scene photos (Spectre and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) but there are new looks at The Last Witch Hunter, Infinitely Polar Bear, and Kill Me Three Times (the latter two were also featured on this week’s Trailer Round-Up and Poster Mania). I’ll then finish with two horror films (Echoes and Night of the Living Dead: Genesis).
All the photos are below!
Although it’s maybe not a “real” movie photo, I wanted to pass along a look at James Bond’s Aston Martin in Spectre because, well, yeah, it’s James Bond and Aston Martin. Spectre, which again stars Daniel Craig and is directed by Sam Mendes, is right in the middle of production with the film gearing up to release later this year on November 6th. The photo is above for you! (Source: Collider)
Since this week was a little skimpy on new photos, I also have a behind-the-scenes look at the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Officially titled Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (yes, a stupid title), the first photo does give us at least something. I’m really hoping the franchise can resurrect itself but we’ll find out for sure on July 7, 2017. Johnny Depp, of course, will return and he’s directed by Espen Sandberg (Kon-Tiki). If you’re interested, take a look above. (Source: CBR)
Another photo also released for The Last Witch Hunter starring Vin Diesel. The latest photo shows him and only him (unless, of course, you count his beard as another person). Breck Eisner (Thoughtcrimes) is in charge of direction and the action film is set to come out October 23rd. Diesel will play an immortal witch hunter in charge of stopping a dangerous plague. Check the photo out above. (Source: Facebook)
Even though it’s only one photo, I did want to attach a still for Infinitely Polar Bear. It caps off a week that includes a new trailer and new poster to complete the FilmEquals trifecta. For those that don’t know, the Australian film stars Mark Ruffalo and Zoe Saldana. A couple early reviews were quite positive for the movie so I’m excited to get a release date for Maya Forbes’ comedy. The picture above will have to do for now. (Source: /Film)
I also included two new photos for Kill Me Three Times mostly because they’re close-ups of Simon Pegg (The World’s End) and a sniper rifle. Pegg will play an assassin in the black comedy that also features Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies). Kviv Stenders (Red Dog) directed the movie and it’s set to come out April 10th. Like Infinitely Polar Bear, you can also see a trailer and poster for the movie. (Source: IndieWire)
Of the horror films, the first up is Echoes and its new gallery. The bloody film stars Steven Brand (The Scorpion King) and Kevin Brewerton (The Fifth Element). Nils Timm (Bloomers) directed it and horror fanatics will likely enjoy the gallery below. As for plot, it seems like a pretty straightforward premise: a sleep-deprived writer having visions in an isolated desert home. Echoes is set to release on April 24th. (Source: JoBlo)
Finishing us off is Night of the Living Dead: Genesis – a movie I didn’t know existed until this week. It sounds like a documentary but it’s actually more of an homage to George Romero’s iconic film. Genesis stars Addy Miller (The Secret Life of Bees) and Judith O’Dea (October Moon). Check out the photos above for Matt Cloude’s (The Creightonville Terror) horror film that’ll release later this year on an unspecified date. (Source: JoBlo)
