Clip Mania: Serena, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and More
After a busy week of new trailers, posters, photos, and yesterday’s News Round-Up, I’ll finish the week off with the latest movie clips. Ahead of their release this weekend, I’ve got new clips for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Kidnapping Mr. Heineken, and These Final Hours. I’ve also included new looks at Serena, Cut Bank, It Follows, and Against the Sun.
As always, check them out below where I’ll also include everything you need to know as far as stars, director, and release date go.
First up today is the first trailer for Serena starring the always-dynamic Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. The two partner-up in a period drama that’s directed by Susanne Biers (In a Better World) that technically already saw its Internet debut. However, the drama (which I’ve heard is pretty dark) hits limited theaters starting March 27th. To get another look at the film, there’s three new clips above.
In wide release today is John Madden’s sequel The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy, Dev Patel, and more are back in the film as well. As for additions, Richard Gere is now in on the fun. Before checking out the film this weekend, take a look at the new clips above.
Liam Hemsworth – whose brother already starred in a similar-looking thriller, Blackhat – can be seen in the latest clips for Cut Bank. Hemsworth toplines the movie that also stars Billy Bob Thornton and John Malkovich. Out on April 3rd, the film is gearing up for a release with two new clips. For those that didn’t know, Mark Shakman makes his directorial debut with this film.
Back to movies releasing this weekend with the two newest clips for Kidnapping Mr. Heineken. As the title implies, the movie is about a kidnapping with the victim being real-life beer-brewer Freddy Heineken. He’ll be played onscreen by Anthony Hopkins and the film about his kidnapping also stars Sam Worthington (Avatar). Daniel Alfredson (The Girl Who Played with Fire) directed the movie and, like I said, it’s also supposed to hit theaters this weekend.
The horror film It Follows also debuted a new clip. With a week until its official release, we can get yet another look at David Robert Mitchell’s (The Myth of the American Teenager) upcoming film. As for talent, It Follows stars Maika Monroe (The Guest) and Keir Gilchrist (It’s Kind of a Funny Story). Check the clip out above.
Perhaps this may not be considered a traditional clip, but I still wanted to pass along the latest from Brian Falk’s film Against the Sun. Before I get to the clip, I’d like to mention this film stars Tom Felton (Harry Potter) and takes place during WWII. It technically already released, so if you’re thinking about seeing the movie, I’d suggest checking out the 6+ minute opening scene above. Enjoy!
Zak Hilditch’s (Plum Role) horror flick These Final Hours concludes today’s Clip Mania with its latest clip. Since the film releases starting today (in limited theaters), I did want to mention it. These Final Hours isn’t the most star-studded affair but names like Nathan Phillips (Snakes on a Plane) and Daniel Henshall (The Babadook) are involved. The clip is above if you’re interested.
Have a great weekend!
