Christopher Nolan Talks BATMAN 3

During an interview at a recent promotion for the film “Inception,” director Christopher Nolan told members of the press that work has begun on the script for the third installment in the “Batman” franchise.
Nolan has been hesitant to discuss the few details that exist about the third “Batman” film. In his interview, Nolan stated that his brother Jonah has been hard at work for quite some time now on the script and that the story for the film is based upon one developed by Nolan and David Goyer. Previously Nolan had only discussed that the Joker would not appear in the third film, ending speculation that Heath Ledger’s role would be recast.
Nolan is likely to be more willing to discuss the third “Batman” film after production ends on “Inception.” The upcoming film is a psychological thriller starring Leonardo DiCaprio. “Batman 3” is expected to hit theaters in 2012.
